Has come and bitten me in the ***. At the beginning of fall/winter with everyone else talking about snow, sleet, hail, rain, wind, blizzards, storms, lightning, and all I kept saying was "Wow, it's 72 degrees in San Diego with lots of sun and a warm breeze."

I'm sorry for that.

The rain has not let up in San Diego at all and when I got to work here at La Jolla, right by the beach, things are so flooded that I had to walk 2 extra blocks to find a place to cross because the water is so high. But I still ended up having to step in 3 inches of water.

Only slightly.

And getting a tornado warning in San Diego County was rather alarming.

I'm trying to scrounge up pity for you Thumb, I really am. I'll have to put on my mud flats and dig a little deeper. I'll come back if I find any and let you know, ok?

What's really scary is that since it rains so rarely (and so lightly really) in San Diego, most drivers just lose their minds or something. I estimate that maybe half of the drivers I saw on my commute in today had bothered to turn their lights on. Yeah. Not so bright...

I got stuck behind someone driving super slow in the right hand lane (not a bad thing mind you). What struck me was that at the time it wasn't actually raining that hard at all. Mainly it was just windy and cloudy (low visibility). The person had their wipers on the fastest setting though while I was fine just periodically hitting the manual clicky to clear the mist from the freeway off.

I did have to dodge a few large tree sections in the roads though. Eucalyptus and high winds just do not work well together...

I know it's miserable down in California...

But *damn* it's nice out in Seattle. 55~60, Sun.

OMG Global warming must be true/false!

Had thunderstorms come through last night and it's just been a heavy downpour. Parts of San Diego that have never flooded are flooded. Areas in La Jolla where I work are impassable due to the flooding.

Looks like there will be storms next week as well, but we may have a break here and there with sunshine and warmth.

And I've learned to not wear high heels in this weather.

She really did learn not to wear high heels in the rain. And she is a liberal. Therefore it's easy to surmise that liberals can in fact learn from their mistakes. H*ll look at all the Dems in congress that have learned from the mistake of supporting obamacare.
