1. I never got to meet Smash in real life
2. I didn't get to hear Samira's legendarily smoochy voice (Meeting Sammy in Real Life would be overload for this humble soul)
3. I never got to forearm-smash vairus in the adam's apple
4. I never got to take Darqflame and. . . oh. wait.
5. I never got to give Sogoro a knuckle-rub to the scalp in an Uncly way
6. I never genuinely tested DSD's fidelity to Mr DSD (OK I know I'd need major reconstructive surgery to compete)
7. I never got to meet Moe and ToUtem to just sit quietly with a cold beer and enjoy the moment without need for words.
8. I have still yet to get banninated
9. I would go to my grave never knowing my rating score
10. I read several of gbaji's posts

So if today were your last day alive, what is your Asylum regret?

More to the point, you haven't taken the opportunity to brag about doing so even though you haven't.

I'm hurt. As if I'd be that shallow to base fidelity on looks alone Smiley: glare 'Sides, you're not to shabby, Nobster. You make a fine cut for some famous singers twin. You know, what's his name again? Smiley: sly

Regrets, huh? Hmm, let's see:

1. I regret that I dont have as much time nor energy to contribute as I used to in the past. I always see a bunch of great threads I want to join in with my usual snarkiness, but I'm always dragged away from the computer before I can join in.
2. I never got to meet Nobby and embarass the hell out of him by yelling in public "Hey there's Eric Clapton!!!" and see what would happen.
3. I still don't know if Mr. Winky is gone for good or not.
4. I havent yet met Nadenu in person and had a decent drink fest with her.
5. I didnt get a chance to contribute a bunch of goodbye threads a la Neph
6. I never found out of the guy with a sack over his head finally got Bhodi
7. I never made a sock puppet
8. I never got to see Moe post again, nor give him real hugglez
9. I never got to see Varrus permanently banned.
10. I never got to see Kaos completion of his Wombat Army try to take over the world.

I'd rather we did it collectively as taxpayers, so that we don't have to worry about the rubber failing and you producing more demon spawn.

EDIT: My regret would be that I never got a chance to find Skeeter and punch him in his gigantic man-******.

2. I regret all the people I forgot and didn't friend on FB during my year away because I couldn't remember who the hell you were. Sorry, guys.
3. I regret telling you fuckers anything intimate. This board has the memory of an elephant.

Regrets huh? hmm. Well, since "I regret nothing! is already taken, I guess i'll write an honest answer.

1. Not going to allaboston. Financially it wasn't feasable at the time, but i definitly regret not going.
2. There are days I regret taking the Admin hat. Yes there are definite perks, and having a "tame" asylum admin was probably a good thing in the long run, but I have to wonder where my post count would be if I was just a regular poster, and wasn't limited in what I get to say. I've always been a topic starter and a replier. thats fairly rare, and we certanly need more topic starters these days, but I just think it looks wierd to have too many admin started topics. On the other hand, there are only so many new topics after 10 years. Besides, i like banning things too muhc to give it up.
3. The usual regrets over bans. There are some people who might have been handled more gently. There were others I should have banned far sooner than they were for various reasons.
4. I regret that I wasn't able to defuse the FOS / SOC blow up before it got to the point that it did. That alone took a quarter of the active asylum at the time. I don't see any different outcome if I think back to the options available at the time, but that was a blow that the Asylum never fully recovered from.
5. I regret ceeding the whole of the OOT to the OOTites when it was first created. Letting Magi have that one just because I was annoyed at them at the time was a mistake, and it compounded asylum / OOT relations for several years
6. Posting my drawing. I'll never make that mistake again. Thats also one of the reasons i've not written anything storywise to post for a long time. Irritated me from a creatiity standpoint, took the fun out of it to an extent.
7. I never did anything particularily interesting with my massive army of pre admin ratebots.
8. not backing up more of the UBB forum when I had the chance.
9. not finishing taking over the world with the wombats sooner... or didn't I???
10. Not having deputy admin stickers printed.

I regret not making the trip to NC to see DSD and Tare. Although we could probably fix that. Maybe this summer. maybe...

Very brief summary, the first real "Allakhazam" guild from OOT at the time before it was named Asylum was called Followers of the Stars, because farmers of the stars wouldn't work (posting at the time was referred to as Star farming, post enough, and another star grows!) That guild was initially led by Smasharoo, and contained a large number of the people in OOT at the time, because everquest was still pretty much the only game in town. Eventually there were issues, and the origional guild got disbanded and reformed to Shards of Chaos. The reasons for the split, and the mechanics of it are all history at this point, but the end result was one of the more messy and public guild implosions in everquest history. Think full bore asylum ornerieness at it's peak, but now make it personal. Add to this the other various personality clashes, people taking sides, disinformation campaigns, etc and it was basically the most heated drama ever.
