Baltimore now has unofficially had more snow this winter then Buffalo NY and I tired of it, according to our local news. WBALTV.com it doesn't show on their site, since it's full of school and local closing and weather forecasters blogs.

I haven't been anywhere for over a week now, since snow keep me home last Wednesday though it was only a few inches over night. Other then to the post office around the corner, the streets around here aren't plowed normally until a week after a storm. So my ride won't pick me up due to the hill and icy conditions, that makes even professional drivers avoid the cross street.

I've lived through these storms before, but this time I had it, since Jonwin and I are both of an age where shoveling 3 ft of snow isn't recommended.

As long as I can get to my Doctors appointment next Tuesday morning, I'll deal with the snow by sleeping, playing LOTR:O and watching TV. Still doing okay on food, so no need to leave the house and Jonwin been told he has the rest of the week off.

I could use a few more books to read though.

We're *finally* getting some snow here in the Hudson Valley. I mean, there's been some snowfall this season, but when big storms like these totally miss me I get pissed off!

As an added bonus I have to go out in the blizzard to deliver telephone books (side work for extra cash). Hooray! not sarcastically, I actually like going out and doing stuff in snow

You know one of these days I'm going to come up with the brilliant idea of adding a class for DMV driving classes called "Snow, and how to drive in it" so we can bestow upon the innocent and clueless masses the joys of what we up here in the northern state of Alaska have already learned.

Course I could just continue to laugh but then that wouldn't be fun.

Our reported incoming 12" of snow turned out to be about 3" (at least in my town) and there was a 4.6 earthquake downgraded to a 3.8 in the far western reaches of the region.

It's like the half-assed Hand of God around here.

I think the worlds *** has just gotten too big, so god's hand covers proportionally less.

What's left of our snow is old and crunchy. Not much fun to play with.

You are all welcome to have some of our snow.

I actually know how to drive in snow from living at Great Lakes Ill. when the kids were small. Living anywhere that is used to this type of snow, you have either learn fast or find yourself one of the poor souls that end up with your car stuck in a snow bank and most likely no emergency supplies.

The problem in MD is we have too many fools out on the roads, and smart people stay home or are out in their 4 wheel drive vehicles, getting doctors and nurses to work. Any with plows can also make extra income working. Baltimore City is hiring their services, to try to clear side streets.

Storm must have dropped the first 9" on us. Lucky you.

About three weeks ago we broke the record for the longest period of time with more than X inches of snow on the ground continuously. It was 56 days, and it was set back in 1888. While I was trying to find the stat in google, I learned that apparently there was a huge snowstorm in the midwest that year. I can't remember what the level of snow was, somewhere between 8-14" I'd say, but we've well broken that record now. It just keeps piling up here, with no melt. I just want 3 days in a row above freezing with some sunshine, please.

I grew up on Cape Cod, MA. From the reports I've heard, MA is getting covered in snow... except the Cape, which as always has buckets of rain instead. Bahaha, suckers!

My sister is in Delaware, though, and they had almost 20 inches on the ground BEFORE this most recent storm. The first two days of this semester have already been cancelled; which as she has said, means more time for drinking spiked hot chocolate!

Sunny here in La Jolla/San Diego. Chances of a drizzle rain later today. I have the fireplace going here at my office because my tropical DNA can't take 59 degrees.

You still have power and internet service. Don't complain.

Also, I had to wear a jacket this morning, it was a bit chilly. Tired of all this 55 degree crap.

Nephthy i remember the year we got a light layer of snow at NAS Lemoore. Of course it melted within the hour.

February was always my favorite month, while living in CA. My daffodils would come up and soon my garden would be full of flowers. If we wanted snow we drove up to the mountains.

Here we can't escape the snow as easily. Since Jonwin can take a bus to work, our car is staying buried in the snow drifts.

First two days? How late are those guys starting? I've already been in school for a month.

My mother said VA got something like 2-3 ft of snow. I don't even know, anytime I talk to her she's talking about missing work and more snow.
