80% of CHD drugs are administered to people whose high blood pressure is due to obesity/poor diet/low exercise. Google it. Simple (yet uncomfortable) truth.
As a Doctor, would you
a) spend ages trying to help someone change their lifestyle when they're addicted to junk food and allergic to exercise, or
b) persuade them to buy drugs from the pharmaceutical companies who pay for your "educational" seminars in Vegas, London, Paris and Honolulu?
Mehh. It's late. My point was made several posts ago. I will never decry the application of surgery or medicine where it's needed. Just chizzed off that they are often applied un-necessarily.
