No electrons at all? none? Wow, that would be really annoying. In that case, I'd probably just build a planetbuster and end it.

I would sign up for a bunch of library cards and build myself a low tech Beowulf cluster.

My daughter used to love power outages, cuz it forced family board-game night. I'd get more games of cribbage in with my son, more books read, cook better meals, probably have a cleaner house (probably not).....:(

Well, I guess I'd hunt Kaolian down and kill him before he ends us all. Then retire, as the saviour of the world, to a palace built several metres above the Maldives.

I don't want to have to move in ten years, you see.

Is that a Nordic Folk Metal romance novel?

I would do what I did a few weeks back when I lost power...trip to the bikini bar! Beer and boobs tops reading a book any day.

Since today the fallback is get drunk and play with power tools, I guess I could be even safer and get drunk and play with hand tools.

Read a lot more. I can crank out an 800 page novel in two-three days, when I sit down to it...

So I guess make a lot more money as well to buy books with too. The price of a paperback has gone up a lot over the years. /fume

I'd probably study more, as well.

If anyone's into sewing or crafting, I really recommend trying to catch the Renegade Craft Fair this Spring/Summer. It's great for ideas and you can pick up some original tees, decor and accessories for reasonable prices. Oh, also: Etsy.

I'd have to run to the closest magazine shop/stand to stock up on reading material.
Then I'd go to the one awesome chain of bookstores that also sells cheap second hand books and stock up there too.

As long as I've got things to read I'll be fine.
Although not being able to listen to music almost non stop would suck.

I would be content reading, doing sudoku puzzle books, putting together a puzzle, and cross stitching.

I wonder if people would be more willing to experiment sexually if they didn't have as many other forms of entertainment.

Lol, I think Renegade Crafts needs a sister site as well, maybe Reneged Crafts. Check out the awesome hand crafted pin you can buy for your love to put on their lapel - only $15.00.

Having lived without any media or proper occupation for about half a year quite recently, I can actually say what I did.

I spent 10+ hours a day on the balcony with my neighbours chainsmoking and gossiping about WAGs, LSD and epileptic puppies, as well as teaching my best friend's Yorkie how to count. I also walked barefoot around Berlin a lot (15 miles a day on average) and saw all sorts of interesting places, and had mud fights with my friend. At night, I read books and sometimes drank some beer. I also spent a lot of time talking to random people in public. I met a retired commie terrorist at one point.

Then I got a little radio and started listening to the BBC World Service all the time. Technology can be nice.

I'm sure someone came up with the idea to PIIHB long before pornography.
