It's Friday, and Tare appears to be slacking in her duties.

I have a certification test this afternoon, then hopefully heading out on the town with the fellas. Tomorrow I lay mulch and generally work around the house. Sunday, I watch the Hawks (hopefully) trounce the Sharks.

Et tu?

Ugh, work today is sucking. I'm reviewing every transaction for an account for the past fiscal year to find if things were misspelled. Apparently we have $6000 put in the wrong place thanks to spelling errors. Ugh. I'm averaging a month per hour... this bites...

That said, tonight includes P90X with my housemate, then gaming. Tomorrow I go visit my dad and we're going kayaking down a river. Sunday is church, and apartment-hunting.

I've got a community yard sale I'm helping out at tomorrow morning, going out with some girlfriends tomorrow night, chilling with the fam on Sunday, maybe taking a trip to the Lego store so Xavier can blow his allowance on more pieces to pierce my feet in the middle of the night when I'm trying to get a bottle warmed for the baby. Giveaway Weekend this weekend, so my sister and I will grab our parent's van and drive around stealing stuff off of people's lawns. (The guy in the photo is creepy, yes.)

Might go see Robin Hood, have to check the reviews for it.

And hopefully get most of the rest of the garden planted, got the bulbs done last weekend, need to do carrots, lettuce, radishes, etc this weekend since it's supposed to be hot and dry.

ah weeds, how I hate them.

I have to dig out my tree stump because some jackass decided it'd be funny to push over and break my tree. It's only been there for 1.5 years so it wasn't that strong I guess. Digging it out shouldn't be too hard at least.

Working, and...working.

I also have to build a new sawhorse and cut up some more trees. The current sawhorse my father put together probably thirty years ago, so it's pretty amazing that it's still intact at all. I've tried to keep it together with extra nails and side-braces but it's too wobbly to drop a hundred-pound log onto.

Saturday, house de-junking and decluttering. We're planning to have a huge garage sale the weekend before Labor Day so I want to get rid of absolutely everything.

Sunday, yard work and cleaning.

I also need to fit in some hours at the office.

And research for a personal project that I'm mulling over.

Well, I get to go to 2.0's school this afternoon and find out why a kid who has repeatedly proven to be unable to keep his hands off of other kids' junk still gets to subject the rest of the kids in the class to having their d:cks grabbed.

My weekend's shaping up to be a straight up HOOT!

I was supposed to be installing dirt this weekend, but the dirt truck didn't show this morning. No phone call, nothing. So I call them up and ask what gives. Turns out they broke the truck, didn't bother to call anyone, but now its fixed and they will be happy to deliver my dirt monday, while I am at work and unable to sign for it. And yeah, someoen has to be present to sign for it. Bastards. I'd use a different company but no one else delivers out here and I don't have a pickup truck. I guess more working on the irrigation system instead. It's getting much closer to being operational though, so there is that. Milling machine is also supposed to show up sometime in here, though may not be this weekend though.

I'm thinking about going to see the end of Iron Man 2 at some point. I also need to clean out the inside of my car. If the weather is reasonably nice, I'll probably think about doing that before deciding it would be a better use of my time to go fishing instead.

I'm also ramping up for Ding V.5, so I'll be drawing a bunch of silly pictures.

Well let's see....

Wife and daughter are heading up to the bay area for the weekend, leaving JR. and myself to our own devices. I have to run to Lowes to pick up some snail killer, insecticidal soap for my roses (damn insects eating away at my pretty flowers..), and some door locks. After tending to the yard for a bit i'll catch up on Fringe/Flash forward/V in the DVR, maybe have a glass of 21 y/o whiskey with a cigar after JR. goes to bed.

I know. Exciting right?

Making the fam clean and weed, maybe plant some flowers, laundry. Work on baby blanket. This "energy burst" is paltry compared to what I was expecting, but at least I'm down to one nap a day vs. three.

I'm pretty sure she owns the sub.

I'm working, as usual. But if all goes well, next week I'll have Friday AND Sunday off! Yay!

Relaxing weekend is relaxing

Friday evening watched TV while the li'l lady cooked some scrummy eye-talian food.

Yesterday drove in the sunshine through Staffordshire & Derbyshire's leafier lanes and spen the afternoon pottering around Kedleston Hall. One of the more stylish of Adam's Georgian palaces. Turns out many of the interior seens of The Duchess were filmed there, and they had several of Keira Knightley's Smiley: inlove costumes. Stunning.
Of course, that meant we had to watch the DVD last night.

Today - Gurly is going to the Gym with a friend, while me and the lads watch the Monaco Grand Prix, followed by the Twenty20 Cricket World Cup Final. Come on Engerland!

I spent the weekend Longboard surfing in Cornwall and generally being at one with nature.

Looks like it might be a regular trip now that I can get about more easily, one of the guys I was with makes boards and if i can find £8-900 I might even get him to make me one.
