Blagojevich may not be as out there as the DeMint dude, but he sure is good for some political luls.

It's day 2 of testimony in the former Ill. Govs corruption trial. "Follow The Money" seems to be Blago's defense strategy. Lol, he's broke, so how could he possibly have been taking briberies and kickbacks?

Any bets on the verdict?

Guilty. The Senate seat, while the most nationally (hell, internationally) publicized aspect of the case is just one part of a much wider indictment.

Also, he acts like a 'tard which can't help you in front of the jury.

Wouldn't be the first time a white man used a black man for personal gains.

I hate to admit that I watched (briefly) the first several episodes of the Celebrity Apprentice which had Blagojevich among the contestants.

Illinois--you voted that guy into office?

WTF?

Well, at the time the last governor was on trial for corruption charges involving selling commercial truck driver licenses to unqualified people. Including one guy who then hit a car and killed a couple children. So it seemed a good idea at the time.

I was more surprised that he won reelection. I had him pegged as a one term governor but the GOP had a real pathetic candidate slate, eventually settling on Judy Baar Topinka. A woman who mainly reminded me of Patty & Selma (you'd have to hear her on the radio to get the full effect).

Let's not forget about dem dere folks up nort that elected Jesse "The Bod" as their governor. Lol. I squeaked out of MN residency just in time to shed blame for that snafu.

The good democrats of Maine this week nominated Libby Mitchell, probably the most vascular bleeding heart bureaucrat the state has ever seen, to run against her polar opposite, the recently named republican nominee and EIB grad, Norm Lepage.

We have three independents that will be on the ballot. I'm pretty sure one of them will be our next governor.

Blago seems to have a strong core of supporters.

Hmmm, that tattoo and this one appear to be inspired by the same thing. A rap album I'm guessing?

I didn't even notice his eyes were blue. Too busy gaping at the headsuit.
