Ran across this today. Apperently some historian and an electronics wiz were able to recreate a machine able to read what is believed to be the earliest survivng recorded radio broadcast. It's a clip of Thomas Edison at an awards show of some sort on October 21st, 1929.

Who would have thought we would be able to someday hear from the inventor of the lightbulb, ironically using sound stored in optical format. I dunno, I thought it was neat at least.
