Lesbianism is neither a disease, nor unsightly.
So it's a choice, a sin.
Being gay is a choice just like depression is a choice. It's a spectrum that varies due to different chemical/biological/dna/hereditary, etc. a number of different variables that affect it. It can be a person's choice to be gay, or depressed. Then on the other end of the spectrum it's not so much a choice as it is hereditary, chemical, or whatever. It's no longer a choice but more of an influence of different factors that change a person's sexual wiring to be gay or bisexual, etc.
People do choose to be gay. But people are also born gay. Is it a disease? I think it can be. I don't think it always is. I think it varies on a case to case basis. I don't think it's bad nor unsightly. Does it need to be cured? I think it's unnecessary research time and resources that should go towards something that affects a person's lifespan and/or lifestyle much more, like cancer or aids. I look at it like being color blind, someone might not see the same colors but they might have better night vision because of it.
It's hard to call it a disease because people look at it in a negative aspect. A disease can actually be a good thing. It can help bring a family together or increase someone's appreciation of life or broaden someone's perspective. There are two problems with calling it a disease; people think it needs to be cured and people use it as an excuse for their actions or state of being.

Disease: a disordered or incorrectly functioning organ, part, structure, or system of the body resulting from the effect of genetic or developmental errors, infection, poisons, nutritional deficiency or imbalance, toxicity, or unfavorable environmental factors; illness; sickness; ailment.
I would be surprised if being gay never fit that description in anyone's case. Just like depression.
The funny thing about being normal is nobody is. With all the variations in physical and mental aspects of humans nobody can be normal,
nobody. And yet people discriminate against the most obvious aspects like race or sexual orientation.
Should lesbianism be cured? Not if it affects my libido.
