That's all I have to say on the subject.

Herpes is an improvement over AIDS. It's still herpes.

Never walked in on my folks but had a couple of coitus interruptus in a similar parental setting to DSD.

Thankfully, the goat costume, the Roseanne Barr mask and the industrial sized ball-gag helped with the anonymity.

So don't worry DF - they don't remember.

I used to regularly hear my parents having sex when I was a kid, but never saw them. It never particularly bothered me in more than an eye-rolling sort of way. My little sister, however, was deeply concerned that my mother was being injured and it took a fair amount of explanation and reassurance that all was well to comfort her (and then I just gave her my walkman and had her listen to some music). I think this must have been about the time that I decided that sex education was extremely valuable.

Not that I ever remember but it is plausible that I wandered in as a kid some time looking for them and didn't notice.

Did you tell her the truth or did you tell her something that sounded plausible to a little sister?

I told her the truth, without getting into the details. I didn't see the point in lying to children about sex even when I was 7.

When our oldest one caught us, we told him we were "wrestling." When our middle one caught us, we told him that we were in a "tickle fight." That was bad terminology because he promptly tried to join in. The boys were a bit oblivious until they got older and finally realized that their parents were going at it.

However, when our youngest one caught us, she told us that she could hear us and it was gross to smooch while she was around. She has also informed us that smooching is no longer necessary since Daddy was fixed and we can't make babies anymore.

Also, can't remember which kid it was, but a few years ago, one of them opened the door and told Ray to "leave Mommy alone so she can go to sleep."

I sort of walked in on mine when I was 17. It was dark-ish and they were under the covers. I told them: "sorry, just passing by. Carry on." As a matter of fact I don't know if they did. I never followed up on that, so to speak.

I was quite old but I don't think it would be traumatizing even if I was little. I got educated on sex quite early (knew basic concept by age of 6 I think) without details, obviously. My parents were frank about most adult stuff during my upbringing. I am thankful for that.

No matter how much soap you use, you can just never get the Catholicism out, can you?

Never caught my parents.

I'd imagine once Jillian switches from the crib to a bed, we'll still have a Monitor in her room so we can hear her and the doors will always be closed and locked.

I walked in on my folks when I was about 6. He was doing her doggy style in the bathroom bent over the toilet. I cried. I thought he was hurting her, and they were so into it all they did is shove me out and shut the door, while mom yelled "I'm ok!"

I actually blocked that out for many years, and didn't remember it till somehow this very topic came up with my cousin, I think he had mentioned walking in on his mom. My dad told the story to him, and he asked about it. Then it all flooded back.
