Relevant news is relevant. Halladay won the Cy Young convincingly, getting all 32 first-place votes, and I can't say that I disagree. More innings, complete games and shutouts with less run support than Wainwright (4.55 runs/game for Halladay in his starts compared to 4.97 runs/game for Wainwright), lower WHIP and for you sabermetricians, higher ERA+ (remember that Halladay pitches half his starts in the bandbox that is Citizens Bank Park) and WAR. Wainwright did, however, have a lower ERA, lower BAA and a higher K/9.
