Of course this is all going according to Obama, and the Democrats, plan to get as many people as they possibly can on govn welfare.
I wonder if it's related to that one president guy who tanked the economy right before Obama took office.

Nah, that was obviously Clinton's fault.
Interestingly, the number of food stamps went up 18% between Oct 2007 (when we were being told how awesome the economy was) and Jan 2009 when Obama took office. Heck, they went up 10% before the market even crashed in fall 2008.

So, you're saying it's gotten worse since Obama took office and capped unemployment at 8%? I'm glad he & Uncle Joe have ushered in the recovery we so desperately needed.

Under Obama, it's gone up ~16% per 12 months.
Under Bush, it was going up ~14% per 12 months.
Is it a faster increase under Obama? Sure. I'm wondering why it's only 2% faster.

Likely because unemployment didn't go higher than 10% for more than a month since Obama took office. I imagine if he'd been able to do what he said he would do it would probably have been less than that. If only those 1.8 million people had jobs.

That's the easy part. That's when all the mortgages that the House Financial Services Committee Chairman forced banks to make to non-credit worthy applicants on pain of Congressional inquiry started to crap out.
No, no... I quite remember being told at the time that the economy was simply wonderful and any dissent was nothing more than liberal wishfulness that bush was less than perfect.
