Yep, out of my many hobbies I found I can make money selling my jewelry at a good price that it's cover the cost of my weekend at an campground and left me with enough profit to invest in better materials to make more. 9 of the 49 pieces of jewelry I had made since Memorial Day. sold and I would have sold more if I had more copper pendants and wire bracelets made. I think the photographer left early upset at the banner between me and the gong masseuse who sold singing bowls.
Still with the small attendance of the 4 day event I did very well for a first time vendor. The sales were of mostly of the more expensive pieces I had for sale and at future events I will charge more for similar work. It was all designs I created and make by hand. I'm sure if more people there could afford to spend money on jewelry, I could have sold more, for the interest in my work was very high and I got great complements on how lovely so much of my work was.
I will be making far more jewelry and ornaments out of copper before the next event I vendor at. Meanwhile I will get up photos on an Esty account that I had for months now, to sell things I make. Look for Elne Clare Designs once I get the trade name from the State of Maryland. Once all the paper work is done I'll be working to get Social Security approval for having a small business and open a bank account, that won't count towards the limit on liquid assets that Congress set at only $2k for those on SSI. Right now all profit is getting invested in the business. Other then meals and a cash box, only expense I had was my entrance fee. I did treat myself out of the money I brought for expenses on a green singing bowl that I'll be using for meditation and pain relief.
Well I'm beat and have to be able to get up for group tomorrow morning. If things go well, I expect to not need to see therapist and doctors as often.
