This whole ordeal has left me quite impressed with the sheer power of our country's police force.
Yes, if you spend half a billion dollars shutting a city down and send thousands and thousands of people you can eventually find two young men after someone calls to tell you who they are and they kill or injure a few more people. Astonishing. What would have left me quite impressed with the power of our country's police force would be if they found and captured the two of them then held a press conference. "Hey did we match the photos against currently enrolled university students in state universities, you know where we have free access to data? Nah, what's he going to do, go back to school the next day? Let's just ask the public and alert them to our having photo evidence. Sure, they'll probably kill a few more people, but you know, omelet, eggs."
On a scale of 1 to 5 the performance of law enforcement as a whole gets a weak 2 for this event. 10 guys could have accomplished the result here, let's not get too excited sucking our own ***** over catching a couple of clearly rank fucking amateurs. That dead MIT cop is probably alive today if FBI just waits and works the data.
