They deserve it. How sloppy.
The Guv's latest faux pas for lack of fact-checking...
Background - A bill introduced to Maine law-makers to insure that military recruiters visiting Maine's HS's could not be denied their right to wear a uniform. The bill was introduced under the guise of some high schools not allowing the uniformed recruiters. The bill was cruising along nicely. I mean who cares if military recruiters wear their uniforms or not??
Before the final vote however, some of the more savy law-makers questioned why this bill was even in existance. Did Maines High Schools really deny recruiters the right to wear their uniforms?
Apparently not.
Also, there is already a federal law that states public schools have to give equal access to military recruiters as they do to college recruiters.
So a bunch of dems voted down the bill. The governor was pissed and went on record calling dems unpatriotic., hand-writing them hate mail....yada yada yada.
Furthermore on his Saturday morning radio talk he specifically accused two High Schools (the most liberal ones of course) of the uniform thingy. Both high schools have denied the charges and in fact, there is no one, not the recruiters themselves that are agreeing that this denial of uniform ever happened. He continued swallowing his foot (up to his shriveled old balls now) when he said "I’d bet my life on the word of a recruiter over a superintendent any day of the week and twice on Sunday".

In his most recent weekend radio address, LePage singled out Portland and Yarmouth high schools, saying they barred uniformed recruiters from campus. Both school districts have now denied that.
Yarmouth High Principal Ted Hall said Friday that recruiters wear uniforms during visits "all the time."
So far, three schools have been singled out by the LePage administration as barring recruiters in uniform. All three have denied it.
In other Maine news it looks like Marijuana will be legal for recreational use in it's largest city, Portland.
