What 3D printer you running, Kao?
It started out life as a Lulzbot AO-100, which is a mendelmax derivative. I upgraded the frame to
AO-101 specifications, then beyond that with some more accurate parts of my own design. You can see them and my printer itself here if you are curious: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:164054 So basically the controller is the same as the AO-100 (a RAMPS 1,4 airduno based controller) but everything else is basically a Mendelmax 1.5 with upgrades. My latest project is attaching two linear rails to the side frame for more accuracy, which will give me one of the more accurate fusion deposition modeling printers on the planet when I am done.

I'd rather have a long range glider with a good camera on it anyways at this point. lots of interesting mountains and wildlife around here to take pictures of from the air.
Like this?
That's a large quadcopter. A glider would be something more like a MQ-9 reaper drone or a predator drone. More airplane based than helicopter based. I have been kicking around the idea of trying to make a quad engine variant of the V-22 osprey design as a long range helicopterglider, but the transition from helicopter mode to forward flight requires some fairly expensive electronics that are out of my budget at the moment. You can see some of the required mechanisms here: http://www.rotormast.com/rm/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=23&Itemid=130
I have started collecting parts for the long range radio and video systems. Still will be another $1k on radio equipment alone before I have enough parts to put something in the air that can go 35 miles though. so it will be a while.
