The thing is this: Gender inequality exists, just like racism and sexism exist. If Women's issues are not part of the republican agenda (ideologically speaking of course Smiley: rolleyes), then you've marginalized women.

Except that conservatives don't think in terms of "women's issues". We think in terms of "equality under the law". Period.

Exactly. And the corollary? Hobby Lobby. Remember that decision? Women's rights are limited - and not even for legal purposes, but for ideological reasons. Because, uh, religion for cripes sake.

Limiting access to women's medical choices is unequal treatment under the law.

Allowing states to stonewall access to abortions and their clinics creates inequality under the law.

Every time you marginalize a rape you're marginalizing women's legal protections.

These are women's issues that create inequality under the law. You can argue all you want, you can trivialize, and marginalize and pander put the reality is that women bear the babies. Women HAVE to manage offspring production. That's reality. YOUR party time and again continues to control and/or limit how we do this.

However, our base principles prevent us from engaging in the same pandering that the left does

Untrue, obviously, but fairly plausible as multiple studies have confirmed that conservatives are far far far easier to manipulate than progressives. Turns out you guys are terrified racist cowards, fairly quivering in fear over virtually anything. Scared of black folks, scared of immigrants, scared of empowered women, scared of taxes, scared of "losing what we have", scared of, oh hell I better stop, there's probably a 64k character limit to posts.

Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

Can't really blame them, fear worked really well in 2001. Of course, they're not accounting for desensitization.

Women generally don't have opinions on men's treatment options for prostate cancer, even though many of the choices could render them sterile. Usually the only ones who care are the ones married to those men. All those potential millions of children MURDERED because some guy just didn't want to metastasize and die a horrible death five years from now. Smiley: disappointed

Conversely, women would like it if men would stop having opinions on body parts that they themselves do not possess. Husbands are of course entitled to opinions of body parts of their wives, but ultimately the decisions need to rest with the wife. Much like how the ultimate decision of men's reproductive bits needs to go with the men who are affected by them.

That is equality.

Again though, my problem is with the very label of "women's issues". Who gets to decide what one must do in order to be sufficiently active with regards to women's issues?
Women.

You seriously had to ask that? Smiley: dubious

It's out of their hands, though. Freedom of religion! Women aren't allowed to make decisions that might even remotely affect a man. Timothy 2:12 - I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet.

That's the lovely part about blanket defenses.

Huh? No, it's not.
You get to claim that taxation is theft, but I'm not to claim that underpaying employees is also theft? Huh.
You're not talking about underpaying employees though.

Smiley: dubious
