What? Isn't that the root basis of science in general?
- There is something unexplainED
(we cannot know what is unexplainable.. only what is unexplained.. though we can know WHY it is unexplained) - We observe the unexplained condition and then we attempt to codify and quantify for the purpose of compiling data to research
- We take the results and adjust them as our abilities to observe things evolves.
To say that this is likely to be a waste of time simply because we have no answers and cannot be bothered to take any leaps of faith is just asinine
You are discounting that there is an answer solely because you have seen no answer that fits with your opinion and limited view-point. It doesn't mean that there are no answers nor does it mean that we are unable to receive the answer.
It's self willed limitation. As I said: the truth is that the chains that bind us within Plato's cave are chains of our own making.. based on our own fear of the unknown. All that binds us to these changes are our own fists clutching onto the womb-like comfort of ignorance.
