Exactly what Republicans wanted, less power at the Federal level and more power at the State level.

At the expense of legitimizing the demon weed? Looks like they're working on their priorities.

Wonder what else is hiding in there??

Nebraska and Oklahoma just filed a lawsuit against Colorado claiming Colorado's legal pot is coming into their states and costing them money in law-enforcement. I'd imagine the less illegal pot becomes federally, the less standing their lawsuit will hold.

There is no standing now. States rights is largely a load of horseshit, but it would protect Colorado from this sort of thing.

It depends, I think they have a reasonable argument that the increase in pot access, and possession in Colorado has impacted their ability to keep it out of their state. As a certified armchair legal attorney Colorado could be found liable largely due to the illegality of recreational Marijuana federally.

The irony though, Nebraska complains about overspending on police to curb Marijuana markets, Colorado can't hear them over the millions in revenue + millions saved not policing marijuana churning into infrastructure budgets. Seems to me like the program has been an overall success. Drug Crime is down in Colorado, and up in neighboring states. Obviously Colorado is doing something right. Wake up sheeple!

Yeah, the obvious response for the bordering states is to legalize it themselves. And, contrary to most "obvious responses" given, not in any way ironicsarcastic.

Nah, it's not reasonable. It'll be a short court lifetime for this. Maybe they'll get some money or some kind of services in kind compact or something. There's no way they win a decision.

Well, it's Oklahoma. They're no Arizona, but I wouldn't bet against them.

They'd be better off suing the feds for knowingly allowing a schedule 1 drug to cross state lines.
