Well, here I am with another controversial topic that hardly anyone wants to talk about, lets get a list together and honor those whohave left us Riding along side us on chocobos and who decided to go to WoW and EQ2.

Thanks Tanta, I enjoyed being in Benevolence even if it was only for a month or two ^^ you guys were like a family. I'll be visiting the site regularly just to check up on my good friends =')

I might join a PvP WoW server some time after Christmas, not sure I'll be dropping FFXI at that time though, I'm still enjoying it.

it's been a fun year.. but really I've not been playing FF much over the past few months.. I leveled rather slowly cause I spent a LOT of time farming and all my friends I started with are now easily 2 times my highest level job (36 WHM)
...and BST is fun but I picked up EQ2 and my desire to solo when I want plus my love for mage classes above all others has found a home.
I dropped the news on my main linkshell two days ago... was a sad moment, but I did get AIM screen names so we can still chat which is cool. I need to contact a few people in FFXI and give back some items I'm borrowing.. and then I'd like to give all the remaining gear and gil to someone who really needs it before wiping my character.

I love how people think they're all E-thug over the internet. Rating everyone down in this thread because they're associated with Watusa. Flashheart got rated up for calling me uncool haha, god karma is so overrated on these forums.

I thought about leaving for WoW while keeping my FFXI account active, but I have a friend picking up FF soon and I figured I'd stick around. Hurray for friendship!

Heh I'll be on Pacific PvP server Ner'zhul as Alliance in WoW and Eastern PvE server Garona as Alliance on WoW. Look for Pax or some other derivative of the name if you ever come by!!!

and your comment about FF is a growing comment about WoW Cheesy. Read the growing anger about nerfing, the upcoming patch complaints, lack of content, unfinished zones, etc. -.-

This WoW line of topics is a total dead, decayed horse. Lets just move to more productive topics. IGN had to ban these threads from all the Ex-FF players on WoW just coming to the boards to grief and troll.

Freedom from this game, where the fanatics proclaim it the best game in the world. Oh yay.. a troll..
Sadly the snobs are the ones who left FF for WoW. I've noticed since they left the community has gotten nicer. The zones are alot more fun and the people from Europe who joined are learning what it means to have skill and teamwork.
Sadly little alita has to insult people with little words from little people. Remember we play for fun, we play to enjoy.

If you read all the forums and posts out on the net. You'll find for every love.. theres 2 haters and vice versa, depending on the games. Wait till that first patch then lets see how much fun people have.. WoW isnt a RPG, its not MultiPlayer.. its Solo player. Keep in mind for the high end content in WOW you MUST party, you MUST find a group. Sadly some jobs in WoW the high ends dont like and OH MY GODDESS they choose the more powerful class. -.-; sheesh Im sorry again its just another spin on the FF whiners list.
Anyhow people are already being banned for finding massive exploits and unfinished zones in WoW. o.O Sorry was it a shock they created zones you could access but werent meant to see???! SHOCK!! People are now purposely wanting to find these new 'unfinished' zones even at the risk of a suspension.

While I don't intend to "bash" FFXI or anything, this thread is called "Whos leaving for WoW and EQ2"... which would imply that you would mainly receive replies from the FFXI-disgruntled... those that are, in fact, leaving FFXI. The thread itself asked those that have or are leaving FFXI for WoW or EQ to come and post and give a so-long or a place where they can be found.
FFXI is a good game, obviously, it kept all of us in for a good long time. Part of gaming is the other people, wonderful people that you are blessed enough to meet, people like Tanta. There is nothing wrong with someone picking up something like... we'll say cheese and turning to a good friend that's humbly eating a cheese sandwich and saying "Oh man! You've gotta try this cheese! It's the best cheese ever!" The first person is not trying to put down the sandwich of the second, they are simply trying to share something they enjoy with their friend, something that they find pleasing and hope would also please their friend.
Anyone that I would say "Oh man! You've gotta try this out!" to would be my friend and I would merely want to share that enjoyment with them. It is nothing more than that.
You will obviously receive "disses" on FFXI in a thread like this, that's inevitable... as I said before, the ones that are leaving are obviously leaving FFXI for various reasons of their own. If you don't want to hear it, just don't read it. Heh, not much more to it than that. :)

I quit ffxi today, got pld to 73 and that was it. I'm moving on to WoW, my name is Goaty on the Uldum server.
