I haven't been able to connect onto PlayOnline since the last update. -.- I think that was on Wednesday, I don't know. It pisses me off. Apparently SE has fixed "this" problem twice, but I still can't connect. I was hoping that the network maintenance that happened today from 11:00-13:00 PST would fix the problem, but I still can't connect. I reinstalled POL and everything, but I can't connect...
(I was supposed to do ZM5 today ;_;)
If you guys have any suggestions on how to fix this problem, {please} {Help me out!}

From there, you can search their database for your error message, you can e-mail them, or even call them up.

Yeah, i've got to give them a call on Monday... Same problem as you with the update and rare connection. I thought the network maintenance today was meant to be to correct this but no luck still so far :(

I had this prob in the past, called them up and they had me do a bunch of different things, dont remember what they had me do with my pc version but i do remember what they had me do with my ps2 version. If your on ps2 and have this prob try this:
1) make sure all memory cards are out
2) Make sure you have a reg ps2 controller connected to system
3) create a new connection
4) reboot
5) Connect usuing your new connection and it worked
According to them they said sometimes the update doesnt take right to systems with more then the reg equip.
Hope this can help someone

This doesn't really seem like an FFXI client problem IMO, perhaps you've had a firewall set up on your side, or some blocked ports preventing packet transfer.
Try to look into that, and I hope you come back soon!
