Player Justice for a Loot ThiefFollow

I just wanted to let you all know my experiences of this last sunday.

I used to participate in Garrisons at the Outpost in W. Ron quite frequently, bu when the person that used to put them t'gether quit the game we all ceased doing them. However, my linkshell has recently had alot of people that have recently come up to the lvl and voiced interest in doing these.

We had three full pt's in alliance. Ikkin was in charge of one of the parties. I had recruited him from San d'Oria, because he said he used to do these often as well and had a Red Cryptex to contribute.

We had a couple runs successfully at first, then Ikkin said he would trade his. He did so, and we beat the garrison. However, once Ikkin went to go de-activate it, however, disbanded himself from the alliance, claimed 200k worth of the loot and went back to San d'Oria.

After this, it came to my attention that he has done this before.

There is nothing we can do about this, and I understand this fully. I am just posting this to let everyone know about this characters actions. The GM that I called informed me the best way that justice could be brought was to spread the word and let "players justice" come to form.

This does not MPK him, but remember his name while doing events and parties.

Hey DG,

Im sorry for your lost. Dont even sweat it though. We'll schedule another one next weekend (on saturday so i can partake in the activities please)and well rock them out.

As for Ikkin, you've been weight , measured and found wanting.
Word spreads fast , just look at the Neemo incident. You may have gotten away with it before but next time will be different.
Hope you enjoy your 200k

While I find it unfortunate that this happened to you, I find it somewhat ironic, Darkgoddess. I recall doing a BCNM40 with you and not getting any gil from the Erase scroll that dropped (which you obtained). I do not know what happened, but I did not slander your name. Food for thought.

EDIT: I do not believe I ever received gil for the scroll. I'm not looking to get the gil, I don't really care (I don't think I'd accept the gil if you offered it to me). I've just seen people slandering others far too often for my taste. There are always two sides to a story and in telling other people who were not there the facts invariably get twisted. I was not present during the garrison so I do not know what occured. I was merely trying to point out that sometimes stuff happens, sometimes you have a bad day or other unfortunate things occur that are outside your control, and you may want to think twice before blasting someone. No one is perfect.

If the guy took 200k worth of stuff that would have been split 18 ways, that means each person is out roughly 10k. In the grand scheme of things, 10k isn't that big a deal. Just blacklist the guy, make a mental note to never have anything to do with him and move on.

This is Destroyer, Preator what happened this weekend is a totally different subject due to the fact it was a balant act. I was in that Garrison, and everyone lost out when this guy disbanded. Then he logged and had the nerve to log back on to sell the stuff within 30 min., Now about the BCNM 40, if memory serves me right i got an Erase scroll and paid everyone their cut. Well when that happened I payed everyone out of my pocket their cut that was supposed to come from Darkgoddess. If I missed you I'm sorry, you can reach me anytime since I practically play the game 24/7 and i can easily pay your cut.
Darkgoddess is a very good friend of mine and I've know her for about an entire year. She's has always been honest and up front. I explained to you what happened, and hopefully you got your money cause there's nothing left to say. She is my friend I trust her and she's never screwed me. So, Please let's not take away from what Darkgoddess is trying to say.

As someone who knows DARKGODDESS in real life I remember when this BCNM 40 occured. I also remember how when she got on there was nothing on her account but her AF1 weapon so for the chance that she stole the earse for her self is out of the question. she had to work her way up to get back to where she once was. Now I am sorry that you did not get your cut from the bcnm but lets leave what happened in the past there.

On the note of the garrison I partook in this event and it was going well intill it was Ikkins turn because the next thing i new one of the partys in the allance was missing and everyone had there flag up and Ikkin was gone. This was very conserning to me because I was a party leader and this event was being done by my Linkshell. There are two sides to every story on that note there were 16 other people who called the GM besides me. So if you look at it in that way you will see that something is not right on Ikkins end.

Thank you

TARU POWER!

I was also there! My ls had put this together because myself and a few others had finally reached lvl 30 and were eager to try this event out. I had heard about the drops and how much fun it would be so I was all for it. Then this guy Ikkin had totally wronged us. It really left a bad taste in my mouth thinking " is every1 who's not in my ls that cold hearted?" I hope not and I REALLY hope he gets whats coming to him, believe me when you wrong people it always comes back around. THANK YOU Darkgoddess for being a friend btw, it wasnt your fault for this happening and I look forward to many more events w/u^^

Praetor , DG wasnt complaining about loseing out on gil or the time that took out of there day to do the garrison, but was mearly informing other people on Lakshmi what kind of person Ikkin is. We already know the gil is gone and we already know nobody will be getting a cut. We are just trying to prevent this from happening to other people.

I am curious;

Has anyone seen this Ikkin elsewhere, ever, in game?

Does he only show his face for these low-level-capped Garrison events?

Has anyone witnessed him at a higher level anywhere?

Despite constant challenges to my general faith in human intelligence, I still think it is hard to believe that anyone would not soon realize that acting like this will quickly place them at odds with most of the server population, rapidly gaining them a well-deserved reputation.

If he's smart, he is doing this with what amounts to a throwaway character, and transferring the items (or the money gained from their sale) to his actual main character, who will not suffer the reprecussions of the bad reputation he's building under this name.

    I actually saw him in Jueno the next day, when he saw me he bowed to me...first I checked to see what lvl he actually was and it was hidden, second I sent a shout out to let every1 near me know not to trust him that he's a thf...he went into his mh and didnt come back out(least when I was there).

    I was in a party with him yesterday in dunes. He was a level 12 or 13 BLM at the time. He is the first BLM I've ever met that used a Rolanberry pie while in the dunes. o.O; He must have some serious gil.. ><;

    Loot thieves like Ikkin can blend into the population and continue to exist thanks to the general population's ignorance to the offenses committed. However that will be as far as this greedy person will go, because there is one simple concept Ikkin and other similar thieves cannot grasp: reputation.

    The fact that Ikkin continues to level shows that it is a character committed by the thief, and Ikkin is a name that most of us will remember to dispise. There will be no opportunity of G1 assistance and possibilities of advancement from all of us. Imagine Ikkin gets invited into a party after hours of waiting, gets there, then kicked out because a player noticed the name and the things associted with it. Level 60-75 is a small world, and there is no room for loot thieves and people with shady pasts.

    200k can be earned in honest means and reputation is priceless. Ikkin just traded the most valuable asset in game in exchange of replaceble gil.
