i've just reinstalled Playonline after having a few problems, and now, just as i am about to log in to FFXI,(after pressing the "play" buttons", a popup appers saying thet Playonline has encountered a problem and has to shut down. Has anyone else ever had this problem? If so, can anyone help me out?

I'm really sorry, I havent had that problem (just the annoying one where the FFXI client shuts down spontaneously when I try to check on my plants from Jeuno).

I wish I could offer some help, but I'm baffled.

As horrible as the thought sounds, if you continue having this problem, maybe another reinstall is necessary?

I had this problem when I tried to instal on my laptop but it was because my video card was not compatible.

Since you have been playing it before I can only recommend a re-install (yeah, I know that sucks).

Good luck.

btw, what kind of problems were you having before? Could it be your video card?
