Not bad for RDM.
Isn't Atma awesome? Smiley: cool I was doing 1k+ Water IVs last night, without bursting, at level 82.
I really need to do windy missions.
They're a massive PITA though. Sooooo much running around for soooo many cutscenes. Worth it though. I think a certain bee and bird combo in Abyss-LaThene (who refuse to drop goodies for me) are going to find out today just how much I like the Atma.
Yeah, i was going to do them on my last char, but then gave up because i realized all you ever do is run around the world repeatedly, using the longest possible route.

Yep. That pretty much sums it up perfectly.

I'm starting them after I get back from my drum lesson Smiley: frown. They sound incredibly annoying.

They are. I stupidly moved to Windy to be closer to the lolCooking Guild. I think I was rank 7 or 8 for over a year because I just didn't want to do them. Then one night I got Legion Scutum, so I powered through the last few missions and moved back to Bastok for Senior Musketeer's Rod. So yeah, remember that if you use Bastok/Sandy hMP club, it won't work while you're Windurstian.
#2581 Sep 11 2010 at 12:58 PM Rating: Decent
Well, I never ended up actually getting a legion scutum, so that won't be a worry!

Who actually has room for hmp gear anymore anyway? 2 slots for 2 hmp is kind of silly.

What else are you carrying in group events when you're curing and buffing?

If that's all you're doing, then why are you resting?

Is there a good reason to not do Abyssea? I am sure there is but I am at a loss to understand what that reason might be. (other than not being able to afford it)
Anyone have a good idea what the reasons might be?

I can see someone not getting it if they don't play, ever.

I'm not sure what you mean by "do Abyssea". If you mean for exp, Abyssea is only fruitful if you have at least 2 hours; longer if it's not a very good group. (I was in one last night that took me 4 hours to hit 550/mob). If a casual player doesn't have more than 2-3 hours at a time to spend exp'ing, they're better off with a good ol' fashioned 25-30k/hour colibri party.

I agree that it is not a 30 minute party. When I do a party I prefer to do it long time so don't have to do it again anytime soon.
Of course FOV and Campaign are very nice if you only have half an hour or short time.

Off topic (Surprise surprise) I restored my computer this weekend. It really needed it and I can't believe I was using it the way it was. OMG its so much faster. Downside? I can't find a Cat5 cable to secure my router and I have to re-download FF14. 24hr downloads can suck my ***. That is all.

Have you tried downloading FF14 using Bittorrent / utorrent or your favourite flavour of torrenting program? I found my download was way faster using that.
