Wasn't intending to promote it, but rather get a nice shot of me. I've pissed off delighted the Ventrilo gang by showing up 2 hours late to First Lieutenant assault static today. So, who knows what devious wonderful ways Chewzer could botch grace my picture?!

But I will admit it is a nice side effect now that you mention it.

Fullmetal Alchemist - Brotherhood is some seriously addictive shit. I was planning on going to bed six hours ago, but I can't. stop. watching.

And apparently exhaustion leads to a lot of unnecessary italics.

That's great, but Palmerin's Shield? Seriously?

Something must have changed since I quit.

Second best shield in the game in situations where you are potentially taking large amounts of physical damage, especially when combined with the varying levels of PDT in my shield and utsu gearsets. Koenig falls ever so slightly short, has a myriad of useless stats, and costs literally thousands of times the money. Koenig isn't even good for when you aren't taking much damage, because sentinel shield far outpaces it in both hate and damage through the gain in tp and ability to have more flexibility in your flash set. Using sentinel, my flash set has the exact same amount of enmity I would get (Capped haste with Sentinel allowing me to use 2enm rings, whereas capping haste with koenig requires one of them to be blitz ring.) and when combined with marches, haste, and my TP setups haste, sentinel comes out the winner in that case.

Palmerin's is basically a really underrated shield, and Koenig has fallen so far behind in usefulness it's depressing.

Thanks for explaining that. I used Iron Ram with Koenig as a backup. Never did enough Assault to get a Sentinel shield. I had a Palmerin's, but never used it. Had I known this back then, I would have. I never did get around to making a PDT set, but I was working on an MDT set based on the lv. 68 Iron Ram gear before I quit.

It revolves around 2 boys and their study of alchemy. Alchemy is the process of deconstructing matter and reconstructing it into another forum, and has rules and limits such as the principle of equivalent exchange where something of equal value must be lost before something can be obtained. The boys defy the principle of equivalent exchange when they try to raise their mother from the dead; one of them loses his entire body and the other loses his leg in the process. The second boy then gives up his arm to affix his brother's soul onto a suit of armor.

That's pretty much where it starts out. The storyline is their quest to obtain a mythical alchemy amplifier, called a philosopher's stone, to get their bodies back They end up finding the corrupt power in the government (which is based around **** Germany) which threatens the whole nation and world.

I could have just linked to you Wikipedia, but it's more fun to type it out. Smiley: grin

Oh. It's actually a 'remake' of the original FMA, which was a complete bastardization of the original manga. This one stays true to the storyline it was meant to have. It starts out exactly the same as the original series, but after about 12-13 episodes the storyline takes a drastic turn. It's not even close to the first anime after that.

I loved the first FMA anime, but Brotherhood is infinitely more times better.

I salute you, BottlecapBandit.

I just started watching Blood+ on youtube, randomly clicked on the 2nd or 3rd episode and I'm into it now. Gonna find somewhere to watch Brotherhood later tonight, too.

It's on Hulu; 56 episodes so far. If you're not shy about getting it from... less legitimate sources... I can PM you the url for a release/subbing group which has 59 episodes so far.

edit: oh, I was just informed that other streaming sites have all 59 (so far). The group I have a link for is all 1280x720 HD in MKV format though, if quality is a priority for you.

Very much this. The animation has done a fantastic job of following the manga so far. With the manga now in its final few chapters it's going to be sad to see the end of FMA for good. (But boy is it ever ending on an amazing note)

If only we could find a place where we can post our ideas and thoughts online then talk about them.... Like an internet forum! Yeah we need one of those!
