I'm trying to get in touch with this person, as I think they made a mistake right before I logged off and I want to make it right. In my inbox was a rather decent chunk of gil from this person, and I have a feeling they were trying to send it to someone else and not me since I don't know them. I seriously doubt there is a random AH inbox ferry running around passing out free gil. Due to having to get some work done for a major client, I couldn't run back to the AH to return it. I will be back on in a few hours and will be sending it then, but if anyone knows this person and can get a message to them that it will be coming back tonight, I'd greatly appreciate it. They weren't on when I tried to message them.
Can you? Either way, I resent it through the ah back to the person. Haven't been around to see if they picked it up yet though. I was just concerned that during my rush to get off and take care of my business that this person would think they were out that kind of gil and I wanted them to be reassured that it would be back.
anything delivered to you can be returned to the sender from your own delivery box (with the exception of gil from AH sales). and to make sure he/she got it, keep checking the delivery system at the AH and see if the gil disappears from one of the slots, if so, then it's been received (taken out of the recipient's delivery box).
if you send stuff to yourself, then in your delivery box, return it to yourself, you can rotate through it, and effectively have near infinite storage.
They picked up the gil. My ls often sends large amounts of gil to each other when we loan money. I am in the habit of trading it back to the person though just in case this happens, I don't count on everyone to be as honest.
After making the last post, I saw I had new pms. I am real bad about checking those and since the reply keeps going to an error I'll just post the gist of the reply here.
Sorry if I came off rude by sending it back, I was just concerned that it was sent to me by mistake because any amount of gil can be tough for some people to farm.
It was kind of funny though, because not an hour before seeing that in my inbox, I was in Windy and a new player had made the mistake of sending gil to someone instead of his friend and was having trouble getting in touch with the person who he sent it to to get it back.
Tine, I thank you for your kind gesture and just like with anyone else, if there is ever anything you need, send me a tell. I'd really like to meet you in game since you seem like a kind hearted person as well.
i know tine more or less personally, had a set pt with him once when i levelled my subjob and he was just starting out, but havent seen him around much, life isnt going too well for him
Yeah, I know Tine. He's in my LS, but he hasn't been online very frequently nowadays. You could also use the friend list to POLmail him a message, should you need to leave him one.
