If you enjoyed it the first time, and still have friends here, give it a shot. There is a ton to do ingame, but with all the xp bonus, rings, etc. it does make it easier to level this time. Starting at this point, though, you do have to realize that there may be things ingame you could never get to.
I tried LoTR for a while. IMO its based on quests more than anything. And, it is a TON like wow. If you know anyone that plays it, they can probably get you a 15 day trial.

I'll disagree with Mooki on this. So what there's a lot of content. Plus, you won't be "too far behind" because that is total nonsense. The game has been out for 5 years and can you count how many people that have done "everything"? Someone is always shouting to do some mission in Whitegate and Jeuno every day.
Plus, there's the new expansion coming out hopefully in December... meaning lot of people in the low levels again, leveling the 3 new jobs and whatever jobs they still haven't touched (like my summoner >.>)
I must say the game is a lot easier to start out. I like how you don't lose TP when you rest. Seems like a lot of people I used to hang with aren't around that much. luckily, some really great people from the old days are still around however, and I am grateful to them.
