Campfire Thread Reborn ^^Follow

alright I am re making the campfire thread since it was pretty successful on the unofficial forum.

*walks over to the unlit campfire and starts pounding rocks together to try to start a fire*

hmmm it's not working...

*after an hour of trying to lite the campfire Kloe grabs a can of lighter fluid, some matches, and lites the campfire with a big flame flying upward*

So this one time, our paladin got 3 of us killed including himself. Boy was that a fun experience. I'll detail the story.

I got invited into a party by a player named Goodnight, a rank 10 smn/whm, 2nd time in fact ^^ he must like me. So were in Garliage after dropping down the hole, its a very good party, we can't kill that fast but its extremely safe killing our set up was:
Drk/war.
Drg/war (me)
Pld/war
Smn/whm
Rdm/blm
Brd/whm.

Ok so no one ever got bad MP and it never seemed like we lost mp lol.

So our darknight is quite gimp, im dealing 10-20 damage more PER attack and thats not including wyvern, I'm also gaining tp 2-3x as fast as he is. (He did a party call at 128%, i had 300%.) Quite sad. So besides that hes a little slow at pulling.

So while hes pulling our Paladin gets impatient and vokes the first beetle he sees pop, but doesnt tell the dark knight right away. He vokes, then a couple seconds later says in party chat that he did so, our dark knight just happened to pull right as he mentioned it. So we are double fighting.

Not a big deal we sleep on and continue. We notice a couple bats moving closer and spam like crazy for our paladin to move the mob, we all back up he stays so we move back. Long story short, the 2 bats aggro our PLD uses invincible and well he tries to run creating a massive train of holy hell.

The train comes back to kill me and the drk (we try moving to).

I almost got away though, i did super jump on the aggro beetle that i attacked, he finished off wyvern, but then a random bat coming back through aggrod me and I died =[.

*pust a smoke screen up in front of Vorrt*

there now the smoke wont get in your face :p

*leans over and grabs a lemonade then sits back down near the fire*

*grabs a lemonade, puts a curley straw in it, and sits by a tree with his harp*

It could be worse. You could have *lost* money on that set of trees.

* walks up, opens a limonade and procedes to count the number of arrows he has left*

Man leveling Ranger is expensive, lol.

/emote Finishes counting and realizes he will have to buy some more.

"Hey, hey"

*walks up to the campfire lugging a case of Becks, sits down and proceeds to crack one open*

"I brought the party!" /smile "anyone want one?"

*takes a long pull on the beer and lights up a smoke*

"Thought I'd take a well deserved break from farming, that Jujitsu Gi is too damn expensive right now"

ahhh heres a funny story, but a sad story for me. In garlaige there were 3 Drk seeking including me. I was a Mithra, and the other 2 were Humes. I checked their equipment and they all had these poorly updated equipment, and both had the nerve to wear a Tiger Stole instead of a Spike Necklace. Then, within minutes, both of them got invited and I didn't. (We were all 33). I mean i had +11 Dex and +2 acc on me while they prolly had +2 dex. The ironic part was, each of their parties died within 15 minutes they got invited in and disbanded. Ironic, don't ya think?

I just remembered a funny story from my THF days. I was in Qufim and had just attained lvl 25. Our puller ran off and pulled a pug, well at the same time, a wight spawned right at camp. Needless to say most of the pt died, but i managed to escape to zone.

Well i decided to take the downtime to go ahead and set my Flee macro. It looked something like this:

/ja "Flee" <me>

Well the pt was reforming, and i was running behind. So i decided to test my macro. One of the guys had d-lvl'd so we were gonna help regain his exp. Needless to say, everyone was flippin out and all pissed off, thinking I was just being a major a-hole. It took me several minutes to explain what had happened. But once everyone understood what happened, we all shared a good laugh.

was pting in Qufim the other day, had a decent enuff party, a couple with under lvled subs.

The pt leader was a lvl 21war/5 mnk who thought they could tank better than the lvl 20pal/10war!

The Pally and I had good laugh as the war kept trying to tank, but the pally kept the hate.
