As a war it takes a while to get a party so on an invite I jump at the chance. I get invited to share tanking with another War/Ninja in the Valley of Sorrows.

A good group actually even without a BLM we had WHM, RDM, WAR, WAR, SAM, THF. We chained quickly and owned mobs even the dreaded Peryton which really was a test but still went down and only had one death of course I got killed from a from one Triple Attack but still it wasn't to bad since the xp was coming like rain.

Then the whm and thf has to leave and I start to think oh man this isn't good especially when a SAM and A Summoner shows up as replacements. I really doubted this would work but to my surpise we worked like a smooth knife through butter it was amazing how fast we gained over 12k xp and cleaned the clock of the peryton's and Raptors in the areas it was a skillchain fest. Shocked an amazed at how well the summoner mixed healing and avatar use without missing a beat.

I still can't belive how well that strange group worked but happy it did one step closer to 61 I only wish we could have partied longer shows maybe it is the players not the classes that make the difference.....

ok anyway hit 65 thief tonight ^^ got my garuda knife and solo partied another ose (which dropepd the jerkin but i lost the lott ; ;)

Hey, Kinam, I'm curious as to where you are. I'm in Lakeland, in a thankfully strong apartment complex that didn't take any damage (ok, the Tiki torch on the patio fell over). My parents & sister live over in Winter Haven and they lost power for like 4 days. My roommates both left the day of the storm, but I stayed to hold down the fort (read: play FFXI). All was well, though...I gained 2 levels with my Ranger that day.^^

*jumps back from the gust of flames coming from the campfire*

Well the other day I was in the dunes and I just got a party. Everyone was level 17 and 18 and we decided to try and take pugils. Needless to say....we got raped....3 of our members home pointed to Selbina and find raises, and the other 3 (Me included) just stayed on the ground. Then these 3 players come(none of which had a subjob). The warrior (I wont say his name cause that would not be right) goes and sits on my head, using the emotion "Sits on killiks face". Their whitemage says: "Wow you guys sucks lol". And the last one just does emotions about beers (Nothing wrong with that). Anyways I get sick of them and I homepoint, and when I come back one of our party members friends comes and ressurects us. We all talk for a while, then he is about to take off when their person who sat on my face says: "RAISE NEEDED AT <pos> PLZ!!!". The guy keeps saying it for a good 5 minutes (Once every 10 seconds about). And we ask the white mage who just ressed us to not res them, or my suggestion start raising them and then cancel (I know that is very mean, but I was kind of mad about how rude they were earlier). It just proves that old saying...What goes around comes around....or was that karma....oh well either or.

i just wanted to tell a story about the dunes, and it's not a horror story!
i was sitting around as a 14rng/7nin when i get invited to a pt... so i accept. 2 nin, a bst, and 2 rdm.... then me, a rng. oh man, this pt was so sweet i wanted to cry. i had like 50 exp into my 14th lvl, and 2 and a half hours later i was less than 500 xp from 19!!!! it was crazy. no downtime, constant pulling(by me of course), rdm's taking turns on the healing/nuking and regening mp, and the bst..... just hacking away through it all with the occasional heal or status cure, the nin's carrying out blink tanking with perfect precision, and me making everything look like a ghetto porcupine with my arrows(used around 800 in that pt). we chained snips in the dunes to chain #5 for upwards of 260xp each till 16 then headed to korroloka tunnel to chain land worms for around 240 each. i don't remember any names, but i give them props for being awesome ppl and knowing how to pt. that's my 2 gil.

I was in Jueno yesterday and didn't want to pay chocobo prices so I decided to Blood Warp back to Bastok. I changed my character to a level 1 BST since I haven't leveled BST and started across Rolenberry fields. Well after a while I decided to see how far I could get before somethingg killed me. I walked all the way from Jueno to Bastok as a level 1 BST/ level 1 NIN and was never aggrod.

ouch though that has to suck trying to be nice and then having it backfire on you. O.o oh well im sure you'll have better luck in the future. If you need help with anything or have questions feel free to ask me i'll try to help ya out.

I partied with a Mithra named Redbear last night. Boy, was that a good breaking in period for tanking. If all you Mithra are that feisty, I definitely have to keep my armor updated and be on it with my provokes.

It's pretty nuts partying. The first time, my axe skill spiked to 30 (and up until around then, I mostly used a sword... don't hit me!). Last night I started with G.Axe and before I stopped for the night, it spiked to 25. Damage is unreal (in comparison from the sword) but the delay is killing me.

Anyhoo... *passes around some fruit punch*

*takes the skewed taru from Cecion and shows him how to make tarukabobs*
