Well alot of people can really start talking about this subject. He either has friends or enemies. Me, a friend. Your an enemy if u have talked with him and 1. take all his actions personally 2. play super seriously 3. or you are a newb and dont listen to your superiors (that even pisses me off).

Ps. (ep a good place to put ur song. ^_^.)

so him acting childish and booting everyone from a LS that isn't sack holders, isn't enough to justifiy disliking him?

Regardless of who the thread may be about, having this type of attitude to a new player is pretty unhip all 'round. New players have a big learning curve to get over (I know I did, despite the amazing users' manual ^^) and thanks to players being cool and helpful, I got through that quickly and happily and really came to enjoy the game. Now, I do the same thing for a lot of others, and I've picked up a ton of very cool linkshell mates in the process.

Soo.. I know what you meant, some new players are young and they just don't listen when you give them the lowdown. But calling them your 'inferior' prolly isn't the high road you want to take. Pardon my guidance counselor motif; I'm unusually lucid before bed.

On-topic: Sepukku is typically polite to me, though I've seen him be pretty nasty to others. Abstain!

u dont get it, i dont get mad at newbs in general. If a newb listens to people that have had the game longer, im fine. But when u ask newb leader in the dunes with a tankless party to get a war or pld. and he/she gets a blm for something else. A student should listen to a teacher, if not the teacher gets mad.

And to the ls thing, he was just getting back at the leader for some reason, not the whole ls.

I don't like him. A long time ago I saw him yelling at Bobbyjai in town and I didn't think anything of it cause I hadn't heard anything about it. Then later I ran into Sepukku while in Highlands and chatted with him for a bit about the peacock charm thing.

Then one day about a month ago I had warped to Selbina (keep my HP there most of the time since it is almost center of the three nations and low level jobs can run to each of the three pretty easily) to buy some BLM scrolls that I still needed and started out for San d'Oria. A call for help came through from someone getting hit by a gob and I tossed out a spell with a few other would be rescuers. I just happened to get aggro and wasn't wearing anything but a yukata. I died and then Sepukku runs by and spends the next half-hour shouting about how I'm a noob and I deserve to die cause I was leveling while wearing a yukata. Yea.... a half-hour of that is fun...

So now everytime I see him its /em flips off Sepukku and /em spits on Sepukku.

I was nice to him and then he goes off and becomes completely disrespectful. I can live without being friends without players like that.

Hey, you might be the one Sepukku was claiming he was going to MPK on my linkshell because you had poor equipment. Thankfully, he is no longer in my linkshell.

Sepukku is starting to gain infamy in Shiva I think.

wow kuzy you actually try to justify him booting everyone because he wasn't going after everyone... just the leader... hmm... *shakes head*

Personally i think it was funny. If u are so serious about the game, u wont think it is.

Sepukku has been pretty cool to me, I have seen him in a shouting fight in windurst though.

wow, thats kinda comical there, someone that thier highest lvl job is at lvl 25 is calling someone Rank 5 a noob. I am hoping he is your friend and your just messin with him, cause I think you might have to rethink who the noob is otherwise
#14 Sep 30 2004 at 4:29 PM Rating: Default
at first i just was going to say that neo was a noob 2, only lvl 25, then i started to crack up when i noticed tie was rank 5.

The simple fact that he booted people from the LS for no good reason is grounds for disliking him. And to his friend that is trying to justify that: You're an idiot.

"You take the game too seriously" That might be true for some people, however, what you need to realize is that your actions, and Sepukku's actions, affect other REAL people. Do you like to lose your linkpearl and access to a lot of information and fun talk for 20min because some child had a problem with the leader? No, that's an ignorant and childish action. You're making 10-20 people suffer because you want to get back at *one* person. Man, such a nice and loving guy he is.

I don't need to know any more than that, someone who will do that and not apologize for it is not worthy of being on my good side.

Sepukku, you will never get into EXTREME, if you do somehow because I'm not online, I will break your pearl, although I'm sure many others in my LS know your name and would not allow you in the LS.

I've partied with Sepukku once and won't do it again. Life is too short for me to spend time with people with such behavior.

Remember, each Player Character out there represents a real life person behind a screen. One of the marketing tag lines for FFXI is "Community". When you are spending so much personal time on a "game" you have real emotional involvement in that community. What you do in the game affects a person in real life in exactly the same fashion as it would if you were dealing with a similar situation outside of the game. Bullying is bullying. Tormenting is tormenting. Tolerance is tolerance. If anything, some may be encouraged to "act out" because of the lack of real world consequences. Some may welcome the virtual world as an outlet for RL and the presecutions they are experiencing there.

Sepukku, I'm sure you are reading this as I've seen you post here before. Get some help man. Your behavior in the game, even your choice of name (ritual Japanese suicide) suggests you might be having RL problems. It's not my place to preach but I do recognize there is a real person behind the player character.

ive never "met" him i saw him in Ranprees tomb once but thats it. My friend on the other hand did bcnm40 with him and him and the brd or whm i dont rember which, they got in a fight and sepukku just left and they all died cause whm had to cure all, and the brd was a taru so he died pretty fast
#22REDACTED, Posted: Oct 21 2004 at 5:39 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Wow. You gotta be smoking something on that BCNM story. Chaithai (who is a good man, and has since the BCNM said he forgives me for not keeping him alive) was our BRD. Meridius was our RNG. I dont remember anyone else. I honestly was curing Chaithai but he got killed. It happens. Hes a Taru. With a -5 Vitality staff. It was an accident.

i my self know sepukku, and think he could be a little more polite, ive had a few runins with him and i would prefer to ignore him from now on. im not sure if he is in my ls anymore but even talkin with fellow ls members(not gunna say any names) say that u can either like him or hate him, and well.. im more of in between. but more on the dislike. next time sepukku, mind your own buisness. thank you.
