just a curious question...Follow

Okay... I really wish i understood it... but mayeb you all can answer a rather common question...

What is it with guys on our server??

i'm a rather outgoing person, so i cna understand that beign part of it... but i started playing back in... augh... forgot... been too long. anyway, it's been about 3 months, i think (Only on FFXI on weekends, remember!) and in that amoutn of time i've had no less than 15 guys all being... well, "Excessively friendly".

I'm not comaplaining, but even I can only keep up with 2-3 stalkers at a time. ^_^;;

What is it about guys finding a friendly girl who plays FFXI that makes them all like "DATE MEEE!!!" and stuff?? What's even wierder is when i politely explain to them that's im in a relationship IRL, and I'm only on the game to have fun and RP occasionally.

Take my first "stalker" as an example... Lv 45 WHM at the time (This was a while ago, he's lv 53 now i believe... maybe higher), and i just liked how he would come and keep me alive while getting to lv 12 and such... it wasn't exactly a PL (Though i never had to heal myself until i started ptying in dunes, meaning my healing skill was rather pitiful), and i learned how to play RDM just fine... but he was always really nice. Even bought me 2 opal earrings when i hit lv 10 ^_^;; The problem came in when after i had told him twice i wasn't looking for a RL relationship through the game (doing that's a litttle pathetic, IMNSHO*), and he just stopped talkign to me after someone else in the LS started talkign about me being a guy... >_<

anyway, i still talk to him, and we're kinda friends... he's come and raised me when i really needed it (Like tryign to go to jeuno at lv 18, which is a REALLY bad idea).

My current LS is roleplay based, and i've nearly gotten into a roleplay relationship with a nice guy ont he Ls, but it seemed liek he was after somethign IRL too, so i backed off on that kinda quick.

its not that I'm trying to be a *****, or a godldigger, or what not... but i'm just naturally flirty... it's reflex for me, i guess... i just wish i knew why it is guys get so eager to hang out with me ^_^;;

I get asked to get married in game at least once a week. Unfortunately, half the time it's Fleance.

This game is a social thing its natural for people to want to meet people they click with I think. I met a girl(in game name Macabre wont say her real name on this) on FFXI and we really got along well. It ended up that she lived in Orlando and I lived in Jacksonville so we met. We dated a few months and it was fun having someone with the same interests as me. I deployed though and she dumped me for a best buy clerk a few months before I came home! It was a pretty good experience though all in all.

My LS has at least 4 RL females (one is my wife), and they all have run into this issue. One was even proposed to by an alleged gil farmer. I think most of these stalkers are males who haven't had much experience with females in RL. Generally tennagers with raging hormones. Thus, they don't know how to act. There is no excuse for lewd behavior on their part, but I don't see anything changing anytime soon.

Actually, i didn't mean him, Rastigo... (If it's who you think i'm thinking of)... but it was more of a blanket statement... there's varying degrees of it, form the overtly blatant, to the subtle... in any case, i was just being curious... ^_^

lol....it always cracks me up when I hear stuff like this. In my LS (not the BST but my normal one) we had very few "female" members (in quotations cause who knows if they are really female) and whenever they logged in it was like a bunch of dogs in heat. The other male members would be slobbering all over themselves and start talking all stupid to em.

I am a chatty person to begin with, as you can prolly tell with my posts. I talk alot in my shells with members, regardless if they are male or female. Now, (no one take offense at this,this is simply my suggestion to others that go overboard with this) think of everyone you talk to online as a big, fat hairy troll, but a nice one XD. This will help keep the flirtation to a minimum. Quit looking at the mithra and female humes(ok, I admit it, they are animated kinda hot) as looking like the person that is actually playing the character.

Same thing happened on SOCOM. If a female player came over the mic, the room suddenly turned to **** chat. I would just mute the chatter, cause it got annoying. But now that I look back, kinda funny to think of all these guys hitting on trolls!!!

but a friend of mine had a nice expirience =P
he a male hume flirted for like 3 weeks with a female elvan.. she flirted back and so on... all the sudden my friend said OMG she´s a guy.... LMAO now THAT is strange !!

I think this is a hilarious topic.. very refreshing.. hahah Rates up! LOL
