I'm just wondering how many people are leaving for EQ2, Halo2, WoW, or anythign else... Seems liek everyone i've gotten to know is leaving FFXI, while i'm still here because i really like it.

Its nothing to fret about in my opinion. Hopefully we'll see the maturity level rise as the " fad gamers " abandon ship for the next big game.

Hiya Tali,
Yeah, like I was saying about the RP LS, it seems like many are just leaving the game for others. But, like the poster above said, perhaps that will open this game up for people who really enjoy it to stay and have more fun ^^ Look me up in the game whenever you like for help if you need it, and for a pearl whenever you decide to make your own, which I know will rock! Take care ^_^

Actually i'd like a pearl as well. I spoke to Rastigo a while back but schedule conflicts prevented me from picking up a pearl.

I'll send you an in game tell ^^ .

I dont know what the whole big issue is those who leave are exactaly what was stated...fad gamers. we should be happy it weeds out those players that have no real drive do play the game, thusly less ***** player (if curseing isnt aloud my bad) ^^

Well thats not true in all cases. Ever since I started playing final fantasy i've been nothing but helpful and tried to help out everyone I met as much as I can.

I've been playing this game for a year so its not really a fad for me. If it was a few months then it would be. I'm just at the point where I don't have enough time to play for 6 hours to try to get something done.

I need a game that is better for the casual gamer where if I want i can craft without having to farm for 2 weeks to make some money or farm for weeks to get some armor. I need to be able to play for a few hours here and there instead of trying to play for 4-6 hours at a time.

I may come back to final fantasy in a few months but right now with work, trying to take classes to get a better job, eq2, gta, and soon possible nfsu2 and gt4 I really don't have the time for this game.

I've been playing EQ2 as of late... The crafting is so much more entertaining. So far I've made 1 tin shortsword, 2 leather backpacks (inventory space is more of a premium than FFXI until you start holding bags and stuff), a bed and a storage box for my bank. Not to mention a lot of the refined components needed to make these items.

But I'll be playing on FFXI too. Still gotta get to 50 and wear that armor!

cithon, if you haven't received a pearl yet, I'll be on tonight at around 8:30pm HST (-6hrs from EST). I'll be hanging around in Jeuno until I hook up with my static buds and start levelling again in Garlaige.

Got onto Lucan D'Lere when its server load was green (not sure how it is now). So far, good experiences. Lag is a problem though in North and South Qeynos, but overall pretty smooth.

Many players quit for many reasons, its not always just to join another game and its community. My reasons were personal and stay that way. I plan on purchasing WoW only to play with friends and it will be occasional at tops.
