oh my god.

I read about this in a magazine about a month ago and it does look pretty dam sweet! Seems kind of odd that SE would put out another MMORPG that could take away from FFXI, but I guess they don't care as long as they get more money from it ><. Supposedly (based on the limited info i read) It will use the pol viewer, and we will be able to talk to each other across games. I wish that page was translated, I can't read JP ^^

man there are at least 3000 thousand players using the same face as me in FFXI.

worse of all, it looks like its going to be the same with this game too.

I don't know about u guys but i tried EQ2 and i had so much fun with this game.Now i can toss my FFXI copy in the trash,god i feel alot better now no more torture from FFXI.

IDK if anyone here has seen it. But it gave me a good chuckle too, seeing how little s-e cares about their ffxi fanbase.

This is a MMORPG where you will be able to do all the things you've done in FFXI, like camping NMs, do missions, quests, etc.

EXCEPT!! You can fight eachother!! I don't know if it's going to be a pick up fight...like can I run over to someone I dont like and suddenly whack him from the behind? I am guessing that you have to be a certain level and in certain situations to do this...

The world consists of 5 nations, and 6 continents. You can choose what nation to be in, much like you got to choose, Sandy, Windy, Bastok. The nations are basically out to compete for world dominance, and you will PT (up to 5 members) to increase your countries' dominance in the world.

Players will be able to build your own forts and castles in the conquered areas (...I dunno how this is gonna work...I can't imagine real estate being littered with buncha make-shift forts), fortify, and protect your land.

Obiviously, you will have to fight monsters that are out to destroy your property as well.

You will be able to chat, befriend, etc., just like FFXI.

The fighting in this game will be more 'real-time' in the sense that you have to hit 10 buttons to make your character do one move, like Street Fighter... (wherease with FFXI you hit a macro and be done with) So...um....people like me with NO game pad AGI will really really suck.

That's what I gathered from reading their explanation, and I'm Japanese, btw.
