Did SE really help?Follow

This last update was supposed to help the players aginst the gil sellers but it seems like it just got them organized. The price of Archer's ring shot up 100-200k in the days after... Whats your opinion, did SE help or make it worse?

I think SE made it worse, yeah they made the spawns differnt but it doesn't help when theres 15 people in the entire area that something spawns. SE just made this worse and SE blows ****, I hope they see this becuase this is just dumb now...

Too soon to tell, really. It will take time for any changes to effect, and I'm pretty hopeful this is only the first of many steps SE will take against both the gilsellers and gilbuyers. I think one reason why the prices shot up is because of the lack of information on many things SE did. For instance, adding in new acc+ rings. Jaegar Ring is the only I can remember atm, but it adds 4 to acc. One less than a sniper, but it's also a lvl 35 rare/ex NM drop. Once people find out that they can sacrifice 1 point of acc for a free ring (other than the time spent camping and fighting) prices for snipers, and therefore archer rings will drop.
I think SE did help, it's just that people expected instant results. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Edit: Typo

I haven't been on the game since just before the update, but from everythign i've heard abotu it, it sounds good. the problem is, liek someone said... where there's an MMORPG, there's gilsellers, or their equivalent.

i don't think SE wil ever get rid of ALL the gilsellers, but that's okay in some respects... because think about it... say you convince everyone that paying real money for game monmey is... for all it's ease, pretty stupid and wasteful. i men c'mon... wouldn't it be better to spend that money on like... i dunno... FOOD, or CLOTHES?? somethign that would actually help provide for you IRL? you're already spending about $15 a month fo rthe game, why spend more just so you can run over to the auction house and buy whatever you want from teh peopel that justgave you the money in the first place?

personally, i like farming for money. i like working for my gear. it gives me a sense of accomplishment, where i can say "I got that on my own." sure it takes a little time, but hey, isn't that what a game is suppose dot do? take time? i mean, where's the fun in hitting lvl 75 on 3 jobs in a day?

and i'm sorry... but i really get annoyed by the peopel who think that just because you don't have the "Proper" gear, you're a bad PLD, or whathaveyou. Get over it people. so long as the gear is level appropriate and gives some kind of bonus, then just let them do their part and quit ********** of course if you're out int he dunes and half your pt is in lvl1 gear at lvl 11, tehn yes, by all means, gripe. but don't throw a fit because someone's wearing a ring that gives +2 instead of +3.

the update helped a little in the archer ring category. the archers rings prices are going to continue to drop since the spawns are easier to claim even with the sellers there. since patch i am 0/25 on drops but before patch i could have never got 25 claims in a couple days or months.

The price went up after the patch

actually the prices went down they were selling for 680k and are now down to 600k. you might be talking about snipers which are around the same price they have been for awhile. a little before the patch snipers rings dropped in price for about a day before they went back to where they were.

SE made it worse and u know y?, SE is really the gil sellers! not really but it would make sense, everything they do is just helping them, and where before i only saw 1-2 gilsellers i now see 4-7 in one area! hell there were 4 wangcai's and 2 oo's in beadux yesterday when i was there! it was insane, and thatd just the obvious gilsellers not even the independant ones, sure archers rings went down but everyone is foaming for snipers not archers, and what about the other camped items? and how many actualy gil sellers have actualy been booted? 0 thats right all they did was make it more expesive for normal ppl to sell stuff on ah, the gil sellers dont care if they pay a bit more to put something on, ppl will pay the extra raised price for those items just because. but what do normal ppl sell? what do legit ppl sell? thing that cant shoot up in price to make up for tax because they r sold so regularly and r so much more common that u cant set a price because ppl can just lower to get rid of it, they sel crawler caccoons and crystals and stuff that any one can get but are too lazy to. so in effect SE is the gil sellers god and spits on the rest of us, thank u SE
