Cool Linkshell names and whats your inspiration.Follow

Ive seen some pretty crazy and pretty damn cool linkshell names out there. I thought it might be kinda cool to learn some of the history behind peoples Linkshell names. I get a lot of people asking about mine asking if it has to do with smoking weed or something... so I tell em what it means.

My Linkshells name is The Bogatyrs. It was originally a relatively large guild on EQ. Moved to FFXI cause its a better game ... and hell its FFXI. A lot of the original members came as well. The name relates to an old russian folk tale that is very similar to snow white and the 7 dwarves. Its about a maiden and the 7 bogatyrs. The word Bogatyr roughly translates into the word hero. So there you have it my LS name. The Bogatyrs... or The Heroes. I look forward to hearing some of your inspirations for your Linkshell names ^^

Well Evention, I first started it just for AF,BCNM,Missions, etc.. That would be how the name orginated. We have done alot of those above mentioned things, and will keep doing them. Evention has turned into a well established LS now with alot of great members. I would like to thank my Co-leaders, Shinjuro and Asylent for helping make Evention what it is. I also would like to thank the rest of the members for bearing with me on deciding to start a new character, I just got sick of using a female character, and now im lvlin my *** off to try to catach back up.

oh cool a wiccan LS. ^^ my gf is wiccan, too bad she doesn't play ffxi or i bet she would be in that LS. :)

AggroKings was a ls that started with 5 friends, me, Hegemon, Arnure, Bayowolf, and Calvern, and us getting tired of how our previous ls was run <no names, im on ok terms with theyre leader> so when we decided to start a new one we couldnt agree on a name, but we all decided Hegemon would be leader<god forgive us all> and Hegemon as all who knew him was infact the most aggroed player on shiva if not the game <he zoned and while he was zoning a rock a giant threw killed him and his dead body still zoned, telling u how far the giant went to to kill him> so i came up with aggrokings, and while hegemon has left us </cry> the ls lives on in KingsofAggro, now run by Bayowolf, tho i will always keep my aggrokings pearlsack

My friend made an LS called Lightwarriors way back when game first came out. Well he quit and gave me gil to buy and start an LS with all the members of Lightwarriors. At the time we were just working on a website and I thought of a cool story that was kind of dark about why Lightwarriors died out. Because of the dark story I needed a dark name so its Dredlordsofvanadiel (spelling a bit off cause thats all that would fit) anyways our website has the story, im not gonna put it in here, but its kinda cool i think, of course i would say that cause i wrote it :) Anwyays if you go to the website you can see the story for yourself =P site hasnt been updated in a LONG TIMEEE!!!!! because the webmaster quit the game and his girlfriend (Whitetigress) is a lazy mithra thf with broken TH2!!

The linkshell I have been in since November of 2003 is my current linkshell. Extreme....not a very fancy name. I like that. Simple, clean. At the beginning, we were Xtreme but we changed it to Extreme.

My secondary linkshell is Heroes of Asgard.
