i want to warn everyone about a scammer.Follow

hiya..

a month ago i was trying to get my AF3 (paladin) from davoi part. i shouted around jeuno for help, and evantually i got a tell from a player called Michaell. he said he and 2 of his friends will help me do the davoi part for 100k. i have no idea why i believed him, maybe i was too excited.
anyways, he asked for 50k in advance (again, excited part) and i, stupidly, sent him.. a second after the money was picked up he logged out. ya ya i know "its your freaking fault for believing him" i dont really mind losing the money, i really stick to squall's quote from FF8: "if you dont get your hopes up you wont be as dissapointed" or.. something like that O_o..
so now in "return" i want to ruin his evil name, so everyone: be WANRED from the player michaell! he is a lvl 74 pld i think.
i shouted around jeuno to ask if more ppl got scammed by him, and it appears i'm not the first one. so i ask all of you to tell everyone you know, simply EVERYONE you know to beware of michaell, i dont want any fellow shiva folks to get scammed like i was. tell everyone, everyone.
hope this prevents any future scams, do not let him become the new bobbyjai ;)

A lvl 74 PLd scammed you for 50K??? And this all happened a month ago and you just now said something??

Sorry but that confuses me a little. I can make 50K in no time as a 50 WAR (without using my crafting skill), and why didnt you post that here sooner?

Some people like to ***** others over not for the item but just to do it and say to thier friends:
"Man I scammed this guy good he is such a noob for trusting me lol"
Its an sad reality that there are just people in the real world and consequently the virtual world that are (insert your favorite deragatory statement).

What I'm saying is while 50k is easy to make at higher levels the scammer may have done it just to mess somebody over more than for the gil.

He just might be the next big scammer on this server. A friend of mine got scammed by him on Paladin AF as well. He was helping him out and before they fought since he was the one to be tanking, he asked to borrow his Earth Staff. So my Friend let him use it, and he ended up logging out with his Earth Staff and scamming him.

this is why it takes me a while to get stuff. I don't really trust many people outside my linkshell and long time ff friends.

Although I used to not trust anybody after a LS leader of mine borrowed 10K gil then never gave it back or even responded to my tells.

I know 10K gil isn't much but it was a long time ago at a low level when i usually only had 15K gil at any given time.

i know it may seem weird that i only say something now, but up till now i've been telling everyone in game about him-i figured maybe here it will reach more ppl. besides, its not about the money, i dont care about the 50k. i want the dude ruined :)

I love your attitude about this. Devoting yourself to ruining a person. Genius. (God damn it's hard to type sarcasm).

You do realize doing something like that makes you just as bad as he is, right? He got you, you got him, even right? And that's exactly what it is, even. Thanks for bringing to our attention, Michaell=scammer. Gotcha, now run along.

Pokie Thats a bit steep taking the perverbial **** out of someone who is merely trying to raise peoples awareness of a particular incident occuring.

I agree that trying to ruin him is also a bit harsh however so was lifting 50k from a lower level player.

I for one am greatful of this post an i know not to hand over anything of any value to a fuggin tosspot called Michaell.

I had a High Level Paladin called Wei solo my LB1 Paper for me in Eld[Tab](damnit) i was expecting to pay a fee for this but after the drop he just said No Thank You and logged off.

There are good people out there and they should be commened and there are bad people out there and they should be condemned.

Just my opinion but the original poster obviously feels that other players are genuinely at risk from this player and is forewarning them.

See, this is why I never let people borrow ANYTHING!! Can I borrow your trailer Kukiri since I'm helping you out?? the correct answere is either "HELL NO" of "gimme 400k and you can keep it" maybe if its an LS friend I would let them borrow, but some stranger you just meet? Some people are just too untrustworthy and ruin it for the rest.

This guy Micheall is a scammer. He scammed on of my linkshell mates out of an earth staff and some gil; agreed to help him with with finding a castle Vahzl coffer then ditched and logged. My linkshell mate never posted his story on this board and I'm sure there are other players who Micheall has scammed. I believe has a japanese player which makes it all the more difficult to 'taint' him.

now that this is all coming out, let me tell you MY story about Michaell...

back in the days, i just hit level 23 WHM, and unlocked Blue Mage job. woot! time to level it up! so i'm running around as a 1Blue mage / 1 summoner, summoning Odin and just tearing sh*t up. along comes Michaell. he notices me wearing a Scorpion Harness +1, signed by Omfg (he robbed an account from another server, lvl 75, and transports gil from there to Shiva). so, michaell says he'll power level for like 10-15 minutes if he can try on my Scorpion Harness +1. this is an excerpt from out conversation that i recorded:

Me> i'm not sure man... this thing is worth at least 10k gil.
Michaell> {Huh?!} {Japanese} {Please}
Me> cut the sh*t man, i know you speak english and scam people out of gear.
Michaell> .... fine. so how's Blue Mage? pretty tight job?
Me> not too shabby. i'm first player on Shiva to quit FFXI and STILL unlock the Blue Mage job. wanna see my Odin Summon?
Michaell> hells yeah!
Me> well.... if you let me borrow your earth staff, to help with Summoning Magic, i'll do it
Michaell> i dunno... i only steal like 4 Earth Staff's a day from people... hehe they all think i'm JP
Me> hahahaha what idiots
Michaell> lol yeah. they don't even know me, but they let me borrow stuff
Me> omg.... bunch of retards. they'd trust anyone it sounds like
Michaell> lol you'd think they could simply ask their own LS to help em
Me> hahaha you KNOW when they tell their LS the horror storries, they are all like...
Me> .... "dude, why didn't you simply ask US to help you?"
Michaell> i dunno man. people are soooo excited that some 75PLD will help them, they don't bother to do things with friends...
Michaell> or people they know and trust.
Me> true that... check this out now...
Grimshady starts casting Odin on Grimshady.

guys, how many times do you hear about someone "asking" to borrow an item so they can help you better? if they are truley helping you, then odds are they are higher level than you, and can simply buy what they are borrowing. or if that item will help them, they would already have it.

i know what it is though: everybody thinks "nah, that won't happen to ME.... i've been lucky, noone steals my stuff". yeah right.

aren't i just a ball of sunshine today? ^^b
