Static partyFollow

Ok I am trying my hand at another static party although this time with a little more planning to eliminate the usual problems.

First of all we are planning to meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00pm-10:00pm central time.

Currently the static has a PLD, WHM, BLM, and MNK. we are all in the level 47-48 range for now. Although on Tuesday Jan 18th we plan on meeting to level, hopefully to at least the 48-49 range.

I am posting this to see if I can fill the last two slots. We are looking for either a RDM or a BRD to fill one slot and some sort of DD who can pull (preferably has experience pulling too) to fill the last spot.

If you are in the level range of 47-52 or so and are interested let me know. Like I said on Jan 18th we will all probably gain a level.

I'm a 50drk/war right now, only 17 exp into my level. I'm very interested in joining a static party, and your schedule looks like it will work for me. I'm on the east coast, so 6-10 for you is 7-11 for me. On Tuesdays I have a Lab from 3-6EST, which gives me time to eat dinner and be home by 6:30-6:45EST. Labs usually get out early anyways... and even if one ran late i'd be home before 7EST (i'd just wait on dinner until after the static).

let's see... a little bit about me...

I have a 50drk, 41war, 25thf, 23nin, 15whm, and 14rng. I've already done LB1. I prefer to sub warrior for drk and not thf - it has been my experience that i do more damage w/ beserk than i do with SA. Now that i'm 50 i get double attack from my war sub as well. I plan on taking drk/war to 75.

I'm elvaan, but i make up for the accuracy issues with lots of DEX and ACC gear, and when necessary i use Sole Sushi (when my hitrate is ok w/out sushi, i use kabobs). I've got 2x sniper rings, lifebelt, emp. hairpin, and leaping boots. My hit rate is usually around 80-90% on IT mobs, so there's really no issue there.

I have Scythe and GS leveled, and I plan on using both in exp parties (unless some compelling reason not to use one or the other arises)

As for fighting style... I really like the debuffing abilities dark knights have in ffxi. I usually use 1 or 2 absorb spells at the beginning of each fight, depending on what we're fighting, how much downtime there is between mobs, and whether or not we have a RDM and/or BRD in the party. I always keep enough MP left in the tank for one drain, and if we're fighting mobs that use JAs or spells i can stun, i leave enough MP to be able to stun. I keep beserk on all the time, and use LR and SE whenever the conditions permit them to be used safely. Basically i'm not some noob who stacks beserk + last resort + souleater before the PLD has had a chance to build hate or when the whm is low on MP.

I know you need a DD that can pull... i don't think that should be a problem for me. I don't have as much pulling experience as a RNG or THF at my level would, but i feel confident enough with my pulling abilities to start doing it full time in a static. My only concern is I can't rest MP if i'm pulling, but that's not an issue if we have a brd or a rdm.

I'm moving back to school tomorrow, but i should be good to go for this tuesday (the 18th) if you all in my lvl range then and are interested in giving my drk a try. If not, i'd be happy to wait for everybody to get up to about 50 and then find you guys at a later date.

Well if it doesnt work out with psy I am a lvl 48 Drg. I should be able to do those 2 days unless i have a soccer game. I keep my equipment updated as much as possible. I wont be as good of a puller as psy but I do get pebbles WoOt.

Ok we hit the lvl 48-49 range last night, hopefully we will hit the lvl 49-50 range Thursday.

any luck with lvling and LB1 this weekend? I'm in no hurry, so if you guys need another session or so, that's cool. lmk.

Hey agawulf, i was partying right next to you last night :)

I am WAR and have NIN, THF, and MNK lvled. I hit 51 last night, and i am bout 4K into the lvl (MY goodness, 10K for a lvl now ).

I SC with DRK for distortion, which is great on alot of mobs, but you dont have any refresh in the party yet. Let me know if you guys wanna try it out and see, i can do the days and times your looking at NP.

I think i can SC wiht MNK rather nicely also, but it has been awile since ive partied with one, so i dont recall off the top of my head what it is.

No problem, just figured id offer.

Id love to static with my party from last night, we were rocking the house down.
