Ballista!Follow

Seriously... I don't know why more people are not playing Ballista. I used to play all the time until it got harder and harder to find people on the fields. I'd like to see some of the big name linkshells go head to head for fun and bragging rights, that would definitely be a sight to see.

I love Ballista. I tour the circut all the time... More at night than day though, due to the fact that NA players tend to Ballista less than JP players. I've made a few JP friends through ballista actually. The only problem with it: No space to hold all my gear :( Even with 50 Inv. Slots, 70 in my safe, and 33 in storage, it's tough. But, anyways, Yea I love to Ballista... I also love being Tractored across Lufasie Meddows... ;)

uh this is kinda embarrassing but, who all do i talk to to get my ballista license? i'm from Sandy...otherwise, i'd participate

i dont realy know anything about ballista but, im weary of it. im just afraid of losing. i take pride in my character and i wouldnt want another job/character to outdo me. are there any penelties for dying? like the loss of exp?

ballista does sound fun though. just the thought of someone exploiting my weakness is terrifying to me! lol

im only 32drk/war. is that even high enough to do ballista? and how would i go about getting in one? thanks.

Ive never gone out of my way to get the license. I dont remeber what guy in ru lude gardens has the schedule. I have never done it, and dont want someone to wipe the florr wiht me. I am ALWAYS BUSY, and so never bored looking for something else to do.

Having said all that, i would like to get the license, and attempt soem ballistas. It sounds like a lot of fun. And i think i have some tricks up my sleve that might be helpful !! (and of course i could be wrong)

Im still open for Ballista-40 and 50 duels. My style is meet in an area real far from the main area, and duel. Rules are No 2-Hour Abilities may be used. No outside help. If you are not a WHM, RDM, /WHM, /RDM....no Protect/Shell. Only buffs may be self applied. Those new equipments that give buffs (the Shield that gives Shell effect, the one that gives Haste) are legal. Food and Drinks are legal (Pies, Kabobs, Juices, Yag Drinks, Au Laits), but Medicines are not (Potions, Ethers, Remedys, Eye Drops, Echo Drops, Antidotes, etc). Status inflicting 'potions' such as Blinding Potions (Double Bat Earrings at Ballista-60 and Blind Potion for +30 Evasion) -ARE- legal since they include the drawback of obviously recieving the negative effect.

But for your questions about why people dont do duels is simply because of 6 spells and 2 items:

Sleep Arrows
Sleep Bolts
Sleepga I
Sleepga II
Sleep I
Sleep II
Foe Lullaby
Horde Lullaby

At least thats the reason I stopped doing Ballista every day. (And Yes, I know theres 2 certain useable items that negate these, but those items are 10-15k a stack and you'd go through at least 1 stack per Ballista, so {Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass.}
