So, as you all probably know by now, Bastok is in 1st place for the first time in about a hundred thousand years. What does this mean for you? Probably nothing. What does it mean for me? It means I want to do some rank missions so I can take advantage of a few CP items while I have the chance. I mean, lets face it... we may never see first place again.
So, fellow Bastokans... Bastokers... Bastokites... if you're planning anything rank related, please be kind and let me know. I'm currently on Mission 7-1, and my hope is to get at least Rank 8 (if not more) by the end of the week.

holy crap, hell has frozen over! woot! go bastok! lol. First time we've been in first forever. Miracles can come true ^^. I hope this will continue in the future and not just a fluke, since I haven't been able to do any outpost runs for a long long time lol.

yeah i am thinking of getting a gun and sitting on it till i hit 50. was 300k yesterday now i can get it for about 100k
I think you could get it for cheaper if you wait a bit more since everybody seems to be wasting their hard earn cp to sell an item who lost 200k value in one hrs...

Yeah, so... after this week we're gonna let ya'll go back to pretending to be better than us. I mean, we could be first again, but that takes sooooo much effort. Also, we'd rather not work our Galkan indentured servants to death.

Been playing FFXI for 10 months and this is only the second week Bastok has been in first since i started playing.
Obtained a musketeers gun today, something to do with all the conquest points I've built up while Bastok was in third place. Ranger is currently at 35 I figure I'll sit on it for a while or at least till prices on it jump up high again.

Pfft, I'll tell ya how Bastok made it to 1st again. Sheer grit and determination! I know I for one spent minutes (yes, minutes!) grinding out CP this week. Really it was a group effort. I just wish I knew which group.
As a Bastokan, I wonder (out loud) "Why is Bastok consistently in last place?" Is it because our citizens are lazy? Do we not get enough new recruits? Or are all our recruits too green?
Bastok is by far the greatest nation for the following reasons:
Windurst: Why is this city so spread out? The Taru's have 8" long legs, you think they'd be more practical! Another bridge to cross, wee!
Sandoria: Endless bagpipe music. Walking to the AH is like walking underwater from all the lag.
Bastok, however, isn't too tightly packed, and we're not a ghost-town either. And the theme music doesn't make me want to use an ice-pick as a Q-tip.
Anyway, 'Yay Bastok' all up in the hizzouse.
