The Tele scroll quests take a buttload of fame but sell pretty well. Just an idea. Ohh and crafting is great! Just scrounge up some gil and craft a stack of items. When you run out of gil stop. Kinda go like that.

Get a few more levels and go camp Argus. I mean it make take you weeks to get a claim and even longer to get the drop, but come on its 13 million gil drop, you would be set!!

ps: If you have that kind of patience that is, cause I know I dont.

I've made a large chunk of change from BCNM 20 Shooting Fish with my smn. I fed the profits from that into Alchemy. Alchemy is now 81. I in turn made plus items for profit and bought my stuff. I made a good chunk from a few runs of BCNM 40 Worm's Turn with my blm. I fed those profits into Woodworking. Just hit 53 this morning.

Between Alchemy and Woodworking, I'm going to fed those profits into Smithing along with a friend who likes to mine. He's going to get Smithing high enough to make iron ingots. He's going to send to me to make iron chains to lvl smithing. He's getting goldsmithing as high as he can, and the mythril ingots he'll make he'll send to me to convert into Mythril Bolts. Splitting profits from it all.

This is how I made gil. I've got about 500k between myself and three mules, despite getting almost 50 lvls of woodworking in the last three weeks and buying the fire staff.

Take a low level character into Ghelsba and farm fire crystals and gil from the orcs. Y'ought to be able to make some decent gil.

As long as you are willing to put forth the effort to farm you will make good gil.

Although I didn't keep up with it long, fishing is supposed to be a good way of making money.

Crafting is certainly a good way of doing things. Some people make large amounts of money using this method.

My usual involves making a ton of small items that people use often and just selling it over time. I usually make 3.5k to 10k per day just from one of my cooking and selling on 1 of my mules. Sometimes more on the weekends if I spend the time to log back in as my mule to sell more things.

Farming is one of the best methods I find. Level thf to 15 and sub it with your main job and hunt things that you know you can kill a lot of and that there are not a lot of in the AH.

Level Beastmaster. Everything you fight is yours to keep. You don't have to worry about parties lotting for those really good drops.

Thats all I can really say. Most of my money comes from drops, BCNM runs and crafting.

Edit: You know if I would actually read better :P As a level 31 thief you should be set. Hunt saplings, Bee's or worms near bastok. Seeds go from 2k to 10k a stack depending on what they are (and damn it, no one seems to be selling grain seeds anymore so we need more), Zinc ores and other ores from the worms usually sell quick and for a decent amount of money. Bee chips always sell for a good amount of money as well.

Take up cooking. It's really cheap to get started and some of the items sell for a small to decent amount.

Switch to a level 1 job and then go hunting in the mines near bastok. Not only do they drop Bat wings but Wind Crystals that sell for a decent amount. Thats how I usually level my low levels.

One option is to buy gil online. I recommend this to everyone who can splurge like $50 in real life. Think about it, that's like 2 1/2 DVD's or 1 Xbox game. But you can get 1-2 million gil for that.

If you have a steady job, spend the $50 once a month. You'll be set in no time :D and don't let anyone get mad at you for buying gil online, since your friends do it as well. And honestly, buying gil online is the best means of putting gil back into the virtual economy, thus strengthening the Auction House and bringing inflation down.

One more reason to buy gil online: It could take you days to farm 1 million gil, IF you farmed NONSTOP, or you can work 4-5 hours in real life to make the $$ to buy that million gil online. Come on, think smarter, not harder.

If you need ideas for HOW to make real life money, it's simple. Prostitute yourself. If you're homely, and chicks don't like you, then comb your hair and pick up gay guys. Do whatever you need to do for that Gil. And remember.... Real life is simply an inconvenience to your more pressing issues, like "leveling up that black mage online". Please, spend more real money on the game, and you'll see how your Real Life flourishes! <3
