Cooking 101

I'm really it cooking now, and even though I'm not 100.0+3 or whatever, I still can cook alot of stuff.

Anyhoo, I get alot of people recognizing my cooking leetness (hehe) and always ask me: "I'm level BLAH what should I be cooking?" And even though I know a huge amount of the basic things you make, I just look online for others people ask about. So here's my secret exposed:

How to get to level 60 Cooking (in a not so 'I'm broke now' way):
I did a google search in regards to Cooking Guides and this was the first one to show up. I followed this guide to the 'T' to get me to cooking 60.

I'll be sure to reference this the next time I need to do more cooling.

Also Here is the link that I usually use when I'm looking for the next thing to cook.

I would usually pick something that has a skill cap of 6-7 levels above what my current skill is using Synth support until I'm 3-4 levels away from it's cap and finishing off without Synth support. I found it to be the fastest way of leveling cooking.

Thanks much NuclearMayhem. I followed the guide completely and started to realize that the levels I was cooking the food up until wasn't it's cap when I still was gaining, was exciting :P Thanks for the rate up and posting this!

Thank You Crayola. By going to that site i saw an alchemy 101 and I'm gonna dazzle in the craft of Alchemy now ^^.

Good post as always...rating you up even though I think the ranking system is stupid (im just jealous of everyone's rating, I've been stuck in the 2.3-2.4 rating range since Summer ; ;)

Cooking--Good craft, did this as my first craft when I started FFXI. Can't make large amounts of money in a short time though.
Alchemy--My first post-60 craft. Its not that cool. Outside of Hakutaku Eye Cluster synthesis requests, Bloody items, Hawker+1 synthesis's (dont expect to pump these out like dennis rodman pumps out crossdressing ****'s), and Prism Powder + Silent Oil, these isnt much.
