giving upon BCNM... (vent your frustration here)Follow

Ok, this past week has just been completley rediculous for me, furthering my opinion that I was justt not meent to ever do BCNM...
First off let me start by saying that out of the 10 or so BCNM 40s I have done, either the bard or tank has died in all but 3, and every time I used my own orb, was a complete failure. So I moved on to the BCNM 30 crawler in Giddeus using the 2 RNG and sleep bolts techinique. The first one, my interenet crashed and I got back on but we did not have enough time to kill the stupid thing. He was literally one shot away from death when time ran out. The second time we just got wtf owned, not really sure what went wrong, he seemed to be resisting sleep ALOT! So we decided to go back with 3 RNG and use the same technique. All 6 that we did went without a hitch the problem was with the loot. On ALL 3 of my orbs combined, go the crappiest drops, amounting to probly about 50k TOTAL between the 3. Meanwhile my friend that was with me also donated 3 orbs of her own. She got awesome drops, and altogether probly walked out with about a million gil worth of stuff!! So totally frustrating!! As a RNG i really cold have used that gil but noooooo, I swear SE was laughing at us this day. So lets start this thread as a BCNM flame thread!! It will make you feel better, and it's healthier then beating the crap out of your PC!

or lvl bst to 40 for the tales of woe. I started lvlin bst solely as an opportunity to rid my self of all those seals. Now i love the job with its ability to lvl immediately without spending hours to find a party. Plus it is a seal farming machine as u dont have to share all the drops with 6 other people. I do admit it gets somewhat lonely soloing at times but u can always head back to the dunes if u want a reminder why u started lvlin bst.

P.S. i agree the gods laugh at me as well on the drops. Anytime i am in a group pooling the drops i get erase or Ni. Anytime we go ord=loot i walk away with a refresh or maybe a absorb str scroll with 4 other items maybe totaling 25k if i get lucky.

You really should try out the Worms Turn in Pal Mines. As a bard I have done the the Mandys(36 times) and the Worms (14 times), and I found the Worms to be much less risk with a higher reward. It's faster, running through at roughly 15 and half minutes per run, compared to 18-19 minutes for the mandys. The drops are better, even the worst drop there was worth over 100k, compared with 25k on a Mandy run(maybe we were lucky). On top of that, with 3 RNG/NIN there is less risk involved. My wife did this with 2 RNG and a SAM with no problems as well. But if you're really determined to do the Mandys, send me a tell sometime, I have a few regulars I do this BCNM with, and we haven't lost yet(knock on wood).
