try out for Hero http://www.herocd.com/forums/index.php?showforum=18

application Requirements, please read before posting.

Only jobs will be accepted: BLM, WHM, BST, NIN, RNG, SMN, BRD, THF

Once accepted new applicants will be under a trial membership for 4 weeks from the moment they join, or 4 weeks from the moment they have obtained Sky access. Sky access must be obtained within a 2 week period after being accepted. During those 4 weeks the applicant will have to obtain 10 Sky Points every week. How to obtain these points can be found here. You will also be required to attend Dynamis & God fights. This implies that if a Dynamis or God fight is being organized and you are on, you are expected to join.Failure to meet those requirements will revoke the applicant's acceptance into the LS.

If you wish to apply to HoCD please follow the following directives. Please note this is an application board, not ranting. So please keep it strictly to applications.
Furthermore, please make your own thread, do not reply to this thread or any other to apply. Jobs wanted and minimum requirments can be found in another thread made by Neorei.

Lol, that looks like a pretty standard application form to me. I wouldn't want to be throwing trial pearls at the wrong people if I was as big as HoCD either.

I wish I had the time as I used to....

Is there any consideration for other matters at hand here? Some people work in the daytime, and end up sleeping... There's also people who plan missions like CoP in advance. I am on 5-2 Promyvion-Vahzl now with a static... Then theres people who level more than two or three jobs... I am one of those.

I would love to be a part of a true HNM group, as I am a 70 blm without an HNM ls, but there has to also be a mutual understanding that some people also have things in RL to do, like grocery shopping, school, sleeping, traveling.... yet they want the full game experience, so they level most of the other jobs in the book as well as ranked or CoP missions - sometimes for fun, sometimes to help people, others for just doing it because its required of them.... How do you deal with people in these situations?

In HoCD it is pretty much a unwriten rule Life > Game. We all know people need to work, sleep, etc and we won't hold it against you. Heck even Neo our leader wasn't able to come to events because of life events. Some LS are more strict with rules and times but you have to find out that for yourself.

On a side note, this thread turned into a HNMLS add thread ^^

Calvern, you didnt mention the answer to my other question.... But I appreciate the fact you answered the RL deal, cause my schedule is crazy....

Here's what I do in-game...
1) Level Paladin at times (I'm at 53 now - War sub is already leveled)
2) Level whm and summoner at times (Both are in the low-mid 30s)
3) Skill-up weapons (I'm at 221 in Staff now)
4) I also have a CoP static group that I am with. I am already at Promyvion - Vahzl... Since my pt LOVES the CoP series, and since I already have Sky Access... We've been going ahead of the competition at times. We usually do events once or twice a week....
Doing the Sacrarium alone took us two days (and I lost 10k exp, GRRRRR)
5) EXP Black Mage of course.... I have to do that sometime or another, don't I?

How do you handle this kind of scenario? I like doing sky things, but not every day... To me, theres more to this game than sky, and I like balancing my character out to give other people an advantage. I also don't mind helping others with AF and such and I set aside a day for such a thing.

The Paladin deal ---- its kinda what I really wanted to be.... The Black Mage job is just to quickly get to 75 to support the paladin job.... I may level whm sometime and I know I'll wanna level summoner just for the kicks.... =) Any other questions, just /tell or ask me here....

Many in HOCD are in your same situation many have life impacts on gaming time and level many alternative jobs. We have many working on second and third jobs to 75. My ranger is 54 with a bullet lol. We do it by scheduling mostly we have been focused hardcore on sky and as of late have backed off some what after our Kirin battle we have another coming up only wish I could have the pts for his armor lol. So far I can say 1000% HoCd is a great shell to be in.

I see many come and go into and then out of different shells because they believe it isnt perfect trust me they will continue to change shells always looking for greener grass happens all the time.

What makes a shell great isnt gil, uber gear and screams of I am the greatest that has to be people with serious issues if you have to keep telling yourself your the best guess what your not lol but just good peeps have that all the rest is just gravy and will come imho.

Shadowtaru, really want you are doing is what we do in the LS. There is always someone saying "BCNM whatever want in?" or "This NM popped, lets get it guys and gals!" stuff like that. How do we "deal" with people like you, ah, well we don't because you do what we are doing. For events we just set times on dates and give about a week notice but it's always the same day every week most times. i.e Terpsichore will post a LS message to give everyone a heads up the a sky hunt will be on X-day, or that its canceled due to something like a big event or too many people have RL conflicts. So organization and planning is there to aid you in your many tasks as I can see. We don't do sky every night because everyone needs to do their own thing like XP, help, relax etc or we would see to much deleveling(I hate you Faust!!!!! you and your 8 million km aggro range). Like I said what you are doing right now is pretty much what we do, currently the flavor of the week is Avatar battles.

If you have any question by all means /tell me in game, although I won't be on much this week to much School, got 3 term papers to write and a term assignment. ><. I'm sure if you can get ahold of Neorei (when he isn't afk) he could give a good talk about how things run with us (note: He is afk 80% of the time and leaves his character online, so just /slap him while he is afk we HoCD memebers would join in ^^).

/em looks at Neo......

/em runs away.

I hope this helps in your HMNLS seeking, good luck to you.

-Calvern
