Good shit Cray.

You can also use Hajimemash
ite in place of O-Genki desuka. O-Genki desuka is used in a formality as opposed to Genki rate me down ka. Dropping the 'O' is less formal and should only be used with people you know. Hajimemashite is used when meeting someone for the first time.

Another thing about formalities too, is the -san, -chan and -kun.
-san is used for formality, to both males and females.
-kun would be used in a non-formal enviroment towards a male that you know personally.
-chan would be used in a non-formal enviroment towards a female that you know personally.

This is some pretty helpful stuff. I like playing with JP just as much as I like playing with NA so hopefully this will help both me and any JP that I happen to pt with.

The only downside that I really seeing is when they starting typing stuff back to me really fast and I have no clue as to what they are saying.

I should get the hang of it though. Rate up to both of you.

Thanks for the rate up!

Yeah a friend of mine doesn't speak a word of English yet he trys REALLY HARD to understand it. Like some things I can never say to him properly cause I have to use the translator. Like when I'm telling him my boyfriend's logging on or something I'm like "Man" "Friend" "Log on" and Im sure he's like WTF lol

so the "How do you say ____ in Japanese" really paid off. I forget what boyfriend is but it was still fun.

He asked me "JP learn why?" I said, "So I can know wtf you're saying" :P

I don't think he understood though.

Hope this helps someone!!

Hey, you know what is really odd? When I made that previous post my rating was at 3.66 and for some reason its at 2.77 now. And after I gave you two rate ups Cray was at 2.90 and Gogeta was at 4.53. Now Cray is back down to 2.52 again and Gogeta is at 3.63.

Hmmm. I wonder what it was that was so negative that deserved the rate downs? Oh well.

(For the people that might not understand......this is called sarcasm.)

Well I did what I could and I rated your second post up at any rate.

P.S. For those that might need help:
1. Rate down the negative.
2. Rate up the positive.
3. If it was neither...then don't do anything at all.

Consolidated EXP Invite pharses

1) ********* shimasu~ Kochira NA 5 nin {Paladin}{Thief}{Samurai}{White Mage}{Black Mage} desuga {sky} de leberu age shimasenka?

ENGLISH:
Excuse me~ This is a PT of 5 NAs {Paladin}{Thief}{Samurai}{White Mage}{Black Mage}would you like to join us for EXP PT in sky?

2) Jikan wa genchi touchaku kara 3 jikan hodo de ikaga deshouka?

ENGLISH
We are planning for about 3 hours upon arrival at camp.

3) Moushiwake arimasen. Nihongo {I don't understand} rate me down.

ENGLISH
I'm sorry, {I don't understand} Japanese.

...something to note...
When you use {Japanese} of the auto translator, it comes out as Japanese as in the nationality. So, use Nihongo - which means Japanese as in the language in Japanese.

Other ones:

POP!! OMG OMG - WAKI!! taihenda! taihenda!
Can I check you? - Soube mitemo iidesuka?
I'm Lost. - Maigo ni ************
That's so cool! - Suteki!!
Ouch! - Itai!
Wait!! - Matte!!
How much more? - Ato dore gurai?
15 minutes - 15 fun

O, and my favorite - SE's mess that may effect you negatively -

Help me out! (as in aggroed by stuff and you're gonna die) - {Help me out!}

Help me out! (as in you would like them to come help you on a quest) - otestudai sama onegai shimasu!

Reward (as in offering cash reward) - orei kin youi shimasu

Reward (as a BST giving pet biscuits to heal pet mob's HP) - {reward}

I think that should be bare minimum necessary ones in EXP.

Yes this was great... I've been pretty good at using the translator for when we have JP members in our party, but this takes the cake.

I used some of these phrases today after reading this thread for our JP Paladin that was in our party in Gustav. He didn't speak or understand a bit of English, but he was able to do the same as I was...

I would type something to him, he would read it, then i'm guessing he had a list too, and he would type something back in english... I would read it... and type a response.

It worked out perfectly and for once I didn't feel bad for thinking that our JP member had no clue when we planned to disband. I was able to give him 30 minute warning and by his responses I think he appreciated it.
