okay... this is A massive multi player online ROLE PLAYING game. so why is every one all ooc(out of character) and if any of you have like a role play link shell please send a /tell to Weissman. Thank you see you later maybe unless you die *sarcastic cry* bye

I personally think that role-playing is going a little too far.
Also, you can't force a person to role-play. You have to do what you're comfortable with. If you don't like the fact that not many people role-play, that's too bad. The day I role-play is the day I shoot myself in the fu[/i]cking head.

I personally used to RP with some RP friend i had but those are truly rare on FF i still know a few though. I personally think that the way SE distributed the server is stupid. Paying gil for worldpass is just weird. I heard that most mmorpg tend to have different kind of server, some for RP, some for pvp and some normal. In FF you just do what you can with the server they assigned you to. You can always send meow a /tell if you wanna find some people to RP with.
Ya if anyone ever see's me rpging or w/e, and acting like a taru. Please just send anthrax to my house, because that's when I'll know that life is truly over. Also to pyraakes the person who last posted, thanx for letting me die twice in 5 minutes in yesterday's party. Maybe you should work on your whm skillz instead of rpging o.0. jk lol it wasn't ur fault, sometimes I forget to hold back ^^
well once Kimss reaches at least lvl 40, she's going to be used strictly for a static RP so, we're not all dead yanno ^^
Though FFXI can be, like any MMORPG, great for roleplaying, it doesn't exactly cater to it. There are no RP-preferred or RP designated servers, the majority of the players are not interested in it, doesn't know what it is, doesn't like it, etc.
Yes, there are some roleplayers, myself included (but not in this game anymore, sadly), but they are very few and far between. Where games like Ultima, WoW and EQ2 you can find RP in spatial a good portion of the time (depending on server type, of course) for FFXI, your best bet is finding an RP Linkshell.

Sorry hellkid, it's kinda hard to keep people alive when hate is on them and those Peryton "almost" 1 hit kill the paladin with their tp attack. I'm not really complexed in my healing skill at all, you were the 11th and 12th death i had in 60 level of white mage (except for my own death, of course, who range close to 100-200). Of course, i am excluding those semi server crash where half the party get disconnected 15 seconds after the pull.

Okay thanks guys im not that seirious( I dont like act out black mage movenments at my house... oooo creepy) but sometimes its just a nice break from that constaint... "no one knows each other lvling" thats what makes the game seem to become a core not a game :D see ya'll l8er
