They're not hacking just SE. This is a country-wide attack on many Japanese companies from a number of Chinese hackers.

Lineage2 is the officiall mmorpg of the Chinese gamerfreak. They literally camp internet cafes to play this game. It's HUGE!
So, if some pissed off FFXIers crashed Lineage, maybe they'd stop.

If Japanese companies are being hacked in Japan maybe that will force SE to move the servers to North America. That would be nice.

That would be great, theres a few people that I would like to use that feature on, like someone I know who called me out on a different site yesterday for no apparent reason, /curbstomp <insertname, you know who you are here>!
