Shiva Server: What The HeckFollow

To begin i will say this is a thread for people to openly speak thier mind about shiva server and what they believe is wrong with it. I don not want people coming on here to flame and such, and if any rating is done it should be up because people are speaking thier mind. My One major concern about shiva is the community that resides within it. How come every two or three weeks even there is a constant onslaut against one person or event, such as against Crayola a while back. Then for some mysterious reason all the flame stops, I really do like the no heat time ^^. Are we so simple minded that we cannot accept things and just move on be it theft or some bad things said. I know it does suck but replying to such things only make the complication worse. Now take what I've said think about it and post. Post whatever you want as long as you dont start another he/she did or he/she said thread.

Thank You.

My opinion: it's because people are getting closer to end-game (or are already there). For a lot of people there's more tension because the stakes are higher at that level. Until recently, death negated hours of hard partying work. Gear costs (or is worth) a fortune and people get rankled more easily because this is what they've worked for, sometimes putting up to a year's worth of playtime (well, 160+ hours spread out over the course of a year) to get here.
Random things happen, people become very passionate about something, and with this many people on a server opinions are bound to clash. I'm not saying it's pleasant, but to a degree it is natural. Maybe it shouldn't be.

I agree. It's hard to ignore, or take lightly, something you feel a passion for. It's hard to say "well ok I don't care" when it's other people that try to tell you this.

It's especially hard when you hear about it from someone who hasn't been in your shoes and felt your persepective.

I don't like to think that anything is wrong with arguing. I feel it is when I yell, gesture, and shake my fist, that I feel most alive. Indeed, it is right after these points of caring that I can expect to be most happy.

I can slightly understand youre point since i have yet to pass 30 -_-. A year worth of playing and keeping a 65+ character properly equiped is a fairly large and costly accomplishment. Also after playing for 1 yr+ you could grow passionate as im coming to this point soon( dont say nutin about my lvl cuz i get to play up to 6 hrs a week and i deleted a character i had for half a year)

I love this saying cuz i feel the same way, but it is the manner in which the yelling occurs that bothers me. Yelling at something you feel passion for is cool and a very good way to blow steam.

Yes i do hate it when people try to convince me something is no big deal if I feel passionately about it because it make me feel worse. Im not trying to downplay events im just stating that constant fighting does nothing to help find a conclusion. And i see other server boards and Shiva is one with the worst fighting threads( if u see one worse the the Revenge of the S*** thread on this server tell me) All i ask is for people to calm down a bit and talk things over. And please if you have something to say, even about this thread, say it here because rating people down without saying stuff seems odd.

last but not least: Why did I get rated down for speaking my mind.
