I would love your opinion on this.
I try to be a good citizen. I do not price gouge or undercut. I leave people alone if they are -ga farming. I do not spam shouts in the cities. If I am asked a question, I try to answer even if I think the question is stupid and/or do not want to be bothered. I have never charged for a D2. I do not buy/sell gil. I know my job, and I think I do it better than average. My equipment is pretty darn good. Over the weekend, I was put on someone's b-list for the first time (that I know of).
I was farming in Pashhow Marshlands for cuttings, beastman's blood, silk, etc. when I see Jolly Green unclaimed. The only other person in the area that I see is fighting a crawler. I run up, hit my stun macro, and proceed to fight him. All the sudden, I start getting yelled at. This guy (do not know if it was the same guy who was fighting the crawler or not) is claiming that I stole Jolly out from under him. He proceeds to rant and rave using some colorful language about how much I suck, and he is going to follow me around stealing what I am trying to farm. After a little conversation, he says he is just going to b-list me.
I love hunting NMs. I have competed for claims all the time and never gotten a reaction like this. Am I wrong in thinking that proximity to the NM is irrelevant if he is unclaimed? I think this is nothing more that sour grapes, and I should just say good riddance. Being added to Doomchicken's b-list is not the end of the world.

Just want to say that everything got worked out with Doomchicken and I. We are even talking about teaming up to go out and hunt some NMs.

Don't worry, it sounds like you are just on an idiots blacklist. Someone starts yelling at me cause they say I claimed an NM out from under them, all I would have to say is, good, there is someone out there that I can out pull at least. The whole game of NM's is to outpull your competition in the first place, do not worry about it and just keep doing what you have been doing.
Sometimes people take monnsters from me when I am pulling for the party and people will go "stolen". When it happens to me I tell them that it was "taken".
The early bird gets the word. In this case, "the chicken" was too late. Don't worry about the whole /blist thing. If you are on someone's /blist, more than likely that's not a person you wanna talk to anyway. For people like that, I put them on my /slist (**** list). I write their name down and remember not to PT or help them. And if possible, a friendly MPK might soften things up... >.>
Mobs arent claimed till they turn purple/red (depending on which side your on).
Anyone pissed off that you "Stole" their mob, just means their bitter that you were faster then them.
Shrug it off, and make sure to wave at doomchicken when you see him. He will eventually realize he was being an idiot in that instance (and if not no sweat off your back).

So I got mad about something. Ever have one of those days? If you say you never have, you're a liar. I was farming in Pashhow the other day, saw Jolly Green and had drawn my sword and started to cast Dia on him to go in for the kill. A few steps away from him, I see his name go purple! Of course, I was mad! My mistake was blowing up on him. I have been recently having a lot of problems with people going after the mobs I've been farming. It isn't the first time in the past couple of days.
So, I'm a big enough man to apologize, Sharky. So before you decide to start a flame war, and get other idiots to call me whatever they want, I was just irritated at the time. Sorry.

I know he wasn't trying to start a flame war. However, there are many on this forum that are prone to blowing things out of proportion. Anyway, this forum should be about bringing people together. Not keeping em apart. It's kinda funny that no one bothered to suggest that Sharkley should ask me why I acted in that way. They would rather write people off, now wouldn't they? Easier that way, isn't it? LOL

I will have army of BLMs pull Lost Souls and Demons then warp out while you do your LB2s!! May Darksteel Maul+1 and my Hexastrike will wipe out every single Lich in a flash so you will never hit 51! I will have a disguised "high level help" explode all the Explosures on you on purpose and warp out!
I will then place bots at every NM spawn, and make sure that Shark will be the only one that ever gets them. Yes, Jollygreen will forever be Sharks!

On a serious note, I'm glad things worked out. I have had a few mobs stolen there when I used to farm there.
Uchipu sees Goobue.
Uchipu starts casting Stoneskin.
Uchipu gains the effect of Stoneskin.
Uchipu starts casting Blink.
Uchipu gains the effect of Blink.
Uchipu starts casting Haste.
Uchipu gains the effect of Haste.
Uchipu starts casting Dia.
Rivalone uses provoke.
You cannot attack a target that is already claimed.

It's frustrating, but bad mouthing people just makes you and the recepient of it feel angry, agitated and ruins their day. Cuss in front of the monitor, not in tells.

The "he" you're talking about was a bot, in the HNM game, using bots to do your job and ruin everyone else's hard work makes you one of the lowest people known to man, if you'd read more thuroughly you'd understand this.
