first NM?Follow

mine believe it or not was the emp. I was running back from the beach and I got agg from something named the Valkrum Emperor. I didn't know what it was, i turned my camera around expecting to see some guy chasing me and there was a guy...well alot of guys and a fly. lol I didn't know what it was for the longest time.

i have yet to see stray mary, leaping lizzy, and jaggedy eared ; ;

I got that stupid Dhalmel NM in Tahrongi the other week.

i caught him near....think it was middle of tahrongi? i may not have that right... ill consult my atlas for a <pos>

I'm from the stock' so south gusta was my newb'er stompin grounds. I had heard about leaping lizzy from reading the boards before the game launched for the PS2, so one day I decided to go out to the area where it spawned to kill some stuff to sell and maybe just get the chance of seeing my first NM. I was about a level 20 or so THF at the time. After a little while of killing all the mobs there for their drops a lizard spawned in front of me just south of the large rock...I check it..."Leaping Lizzy"....in yellow! I spam voke and claim it somehow, took a little while to kill since I was using a dagger but then I saw the text box say "You find a pair of Leaping Boots." I flipped out and couldn't believe it, the hard to get and harder to drop leapin lizzy spawned in front of me and gave me the best boots for my job for a long time. Made me so wired that I couldn't sleep for a while (was 2am when i got the claim)

I kept the boots and still wear them today, I went back and killed lizzy a few more times so I could buy my E. Pin since I would get stomped by VE at that level.

I love that lizard, I'm 5/8 overall on the drop, she is why I can make money now ^^...I know, I'm a lucky *******.

First? Hmmmm...

I think it was Ashmaker Gotblut, in the Grotto. I was farming and on the way back I see this orc with a weird name and it is "impossible to gauge". No one around, I keep looking at it, wondering if I can kill it. Decide to start with a SA so I get behind it, get my macro, and when my dagger will land on it some random dude casts flash on it. I was pissed. Learned the ethics of NM claiming quite fast.

NM I killed:
All yags, orcs and quadavs in Giddeus, Ghelsba and Palboro, lizzy 0/4, emp 0/4, the raptor in Meriphataud Mountains, the dhalmel in Tahrongi, Bloodpool Vorax, Percival, Moo Ouzi the Swiftblade, Enkelados, Ogygos and the other Gigas in the Tower, Morion Worm, Deadly Dodo, Jack 0/2, Golden Bat, Goblin Gruel, Crypt Ghost, the worm in East Rounfaure, some orcs in Davoi and some other random NM I don't remember.

NM I saw but didn't claim >< (some because I knew they would kick my ***, and some I tried to claim... a lot):
Mee Deggi, Argus, Morbolger, Amemet, Aquarious, some NM in Quicksand Caves, Spook (yes, never claimed it), the weapon in Qufim and some NM in the Necropolis.

NM that killed me either from aggro or because I didn't know better:
Waraxe Beak, Bomb King (I was like level 10 lol), the gob in Gustav Tunnel (wiped out whole pt), some leech in korroloka tunnel killed me in 3 hits, Bloodtear, a cactuar in Altepa with a spanish name, and, of course, THE SEA HORROR!!! But I got to kill it once too with our monday night event ^^. Sweet revenge.

I didn't count NM you have to kill for quests because those don't count lol. And I bet I'm still forgetting some.
Of all those guess how many drops I got? The big ones were the Ogygos Bracelet and nekchopper. I always get the 2nd best drop but nothing good. I killed most of those NM more than once too.
Moral of the story: NM gives you great stories but no cash.

Edit: duh the Dodo and Morbolger are for a quest. Oh well, they are cool. =P

I camped leaping lizzy so much I could predict with 90%+ accuracy where it would spawn next. I lost so much time doing that :(

My first NM was Jaggedy Eared Jack. I was a complete n00b and when I saw him I thought he was an npc. I told my friend who was in San D'Oria and he was like, "Man! He drops 300,000 gil! Keep him in sight and if someone comes close Voke it!" (I guess he didn't know about Rabbit Charm.)

I was lucky. My friend ran all the way from the city to Jack's spawn point and no one even came close. We killed Jack but no drop. I hate that stupid rabbit and his crappy drop rate. ><

First NM for me was Ey Monn The Ironbreaker down in Giddeus. Good times, good times...

My NM count includes - Lizzy, Emp, JEJ, Panzer Percival, Spiny Sipipi and other stupid ones (including the MIGHTY BURIMBURIMBOO~!)

Most recently: Ran into Trickster Kn*coughingnoisetomaskthefactthatIforgothisname* in Qufim

First NM I saw was Bubbly Bernie, I did that quest around level 7 and got whipped by him, tried again at level 11 and just barely lost, then finally at level 14 I showed him who the boss was.

My first Nm was Jaggedy-Eared Jack in West Ronfaure when I was a tad lil newb, didnt know what it was and when I checked it said Impossible to Gauge so I left it alone lol if I`d only knew at the time he dropped a few million gil I would of claimed it right then and there. As of today, I'm 0/4 on JEJ

Another one I saw fairly early in my gaming days was the Spook in King Ranperre's Tomb, 3/5 on that one.

Also, Crypt Ghost and Goblin Gruel downstairs, both 2/6

Ive leveled every job to 10 or higher, so I have a lot of time in the low level zones. But ive yet to see Leaping Lizzy, Stinging Sophie or Tom Tit Tat. Ive seen all 4 NM rams. I only saw (and killed) Stray Mary in my 14th month of playing for the first time.

First NM I ever saw was Spiny Spipi.

Only killed 3 NMs ever... First one was J.E.Jack, back when I was doing Mnk on my way to get SAM. Stoped that little rabbit into teh dirt... no drop... Next Came Stray mary... Lv 30 Sam, running thru highllands camping elementals (Clusters are one of my few sources of income), and there she was. nobody else in sight so took my swings and got the milk (Wanna see if i can gather a stack ^_^)... Last one Was Vuu Puqu over in giddeus, farming up Crafting materials... I check the NM spawns there just for kicks... maybe i'll get lucky and nab Hoo Mjuu ^_^;;

Still wanna get Lizzy and I wanna get to Camping Punisher...
