REVENGE ON THE CAMP BOTS!!!111 (a.k.a NM camping day!)Follow

Wow, can people really camp bot LL? I thought it was kinda impossible because of the large spawn area and you could only use bots on mobs like Argus, that pop in a tiny itty bitty room.

I was thinking maybe we could do a mass attack on Ordelle Caves and take control of the Stroper Chyme. That thing never drops anyway so we won't have to deal with the loot, lol. And it's not a NM (even though has a NM-type drop) and pops a lot more often, so people stay interested.

Talking about botting is rather "tabu"ish because even though you know (or think you know) that people are botting, there are few ways of proving it, if any. For example, by fishing a lot, I've noticed some behavior that made me think hmmmm that person is botting. After a while you start to think that everyone around you is a bot until proven otherwise. And I bet that many people I think are bots, in fact are not. So I never call names or say anything, I don't want to **** anyone off, specially with a false accusation. That's not how things work, so let's not call names and accuse people. We may be 100% sure, but, without evidence, we can't prove it. Of course, that sucks.

That doesn't mean you can't poke the people who have inventories full and keep losing tons and tons of black sole for hours. LMAO

Massive NM camping? {Yes, please.}

I would be interested in the whole stropher chyme idea, I have a level 75 Paladin I can bring or a level 42 Black Mage.

Not sure how to post this without making a bot accusation, but... That sounds exactly like the behavior of that mithra in Ordelles who camps the Chyme in one of the rooms. 5 seconds before the pop she flees and hide, and no one can claim it before her. We tried it with 4 people, one in each corner, and after 2 hours no one but her had claimed it!

I've seen Xpy camp Lizzy for a while now, I didn't think he was a bot since he examined me on several occasions. He isn't very good at camping LL either, I've beaten him before. If you need help campinh LL ask Url, she must have the record for drops on this server. 18 times last I checked her bazaar notice. O_o

Man, I feel naive.

You know, when I saw that Muonika flee and claim the chyme like the wind, of course I said to myself: "damn you gil selling bot". I din't want to come in forums saying that and be flamed, though. I'm also not very informed on how far bots can go. It is just unbelievable what people will do in a VIDEOGAME!!!

I think that, besides the classic "I would like to be better than everybody else in the easiest way possible", the fact that it made people depend on this game to buy their daily bread is just disgusting. And even worse are the people who, instead of having fun in their game while achieving their goals, whatever they may be, decide to get their credit cards and buy FAKE MONEY.

To me, this just reflects what a sick society we live in. The rule is to take advantage of every single little way possible to be better than everyone around you. Who has the cash is the master. People are bought and sold like a flea market, accumulation is the law. FFXI became a mirror of that, the one with the most gil beats them all. And I bet every other game out there where you interact with real people is the same.

I think we can't stop this. The only way to end botting and gil selling and buying would be if an asteroid infected with decency potion fell into our land and infected the whole atmosphere, making all the **** (pardon my french) in human nature disappear. On the other hand, though, we can have a hell of a good time pissing those people off. ^^

Edit: By the way, I want to join the chyme or NM attack =P. For the fun.

Heh the Mithra in Ordelles caves is fast.. If you notice there are windows when stroper respawns and she has that down pretty good. I sat there for a hour with her and claimed Stroper as much as she did within that time, and it was basiclly luck when he spawned next to me..Nice trick she does though, Flee+Hide, and runs in circles around the whole spawn area. Good luck on Stroper it's probably best to camp next to the other campers for stroper.

Btw if you're camping LL for his horn the drop rate is like 50/50, if you claim Bloodtear it's 100% drop
if you know his ToD I can solo him for you and his drop rate for the shield is pretty damn ****** since I have camped it Numerous times and gave up.

Camping Stroper Chyme will be so fun, just wondering.. can a 41 RDM take it? Although it shouldn't be too bad as well be in huge groups and will be able to help each other

Nine is proably right about them not botting, he is friends with the gilsellers so he would know. How is that gilseller LS going that you are in btw?

OK. I have been getting a few of the same questions about the newly formed shell. Here are a few answers.

1. This is not a HNM shell.
2. It is more of an event shell. You are welcomed to wear the shell whenever you please but Campouts in the caves we will try to schedule so most are able to attend.
3. We are not expecting any drops. If we do by chance get one we will Auction and split amongst the members present.
4. We are only camping the Chymes to make the gil sellers work for their money. (Just for the fun of it)

I realize there are many opinions about gil selling and botting. Ordelles is about the lowest level area you may run into these elements. I know of more than a few groups that enjoy camping here for fun. I am only attempting to get these people together so we can have an even bigger impact.

I was reading in a new computer gaming magazine (forgot which one), it has an article on gilsellers in MMORPGs. Most of them are located in Asia but when you look at the pics it seems like it was taken at a gaming convention, all these ppl at desks with computers and headphones all playing but instead being paid to farm, craft, camp. They only get paid on average .53 cents a day.

I just found the whole thing amusing. The end quote of the article was funny; "They get paid dirt, but in their land dirt is good."
